Perhaps in this situation the money had only been 'reserved' prior to dispatch and it's only at dispatch your account actually gets debited. If that was the case then they are able to use either option.

If the money was actually taken at point of ordering, then a contract would have been formed and they would not have been within their rights to cancel or increase.

Just checked my order status online after buying one on the phone this morning and it says £79.99 and will be delivered tomorrow
Fingers crossed!
I agree that it is a "sale" item with £70 off so it should be honoured,its not a glitch.

They have definitely taken my money, I rang my credit card compnay and they told me it had gone through 19 minutes after I ordered it.

the guy on the phone gave me an order number and if you click on "order tracking" at the bottom of the page you just enter that,your postcode and your surname.

sure I can't post links but just google "check argos order" & it'll come up, just checked mine and will be doing so every day til Monday, when mine is due!

Mine isn't coming until Tuesday so I'm a little concerned. At least those who have tomorrow as their delivery date will know by tonight if it's been dispatched or not.

Yayy mine is coming tomorrow, says normal delivery £5.80 and then free next day delivery. Thanks.
