Quick question, best time to end an auction for tickets? Friday evening?

Auction? Do you mean on eBay Gemmzie? This is the Amazon thread so I am confussed. If it is eBay you mean I would end the listing in the evening, avoiding TV programmes that might appeal to the people who could potentially bid on the type of tickets you are selling

I've never joined a Forum before so if I get this wrong, could you bear with me please.

Really I just wanted to say a big 'Thank you' to Funky Funky Monkey, Soolin, dawn1, tirlittan, Jesarose, Teapot 2 an Pinkgem and everyone else who contributed to Thread 12, including everyone who asked questions. It took me two full days to read, and from it I have now written my own Amazon manual. I'm really grateful for everyone who contributed to that thread being so helpful, open and willing to share their knowledge with us Newbies, who let's face it, want to become the competition.

I started listing on Sunday and have already sold two books, so I'm thrilled to bits. Couldn't have done it without your help.

The only problem that's cropped up so far - Amazon didn't tell me I'd sold the first book, but as I'd already learned that's quite normal I checked my Orders and found it pretty much straight away!

My first question: I can't find is where and how to access Buyer Feedback on the two people I've sold to so far. Would I be right in thinking that if no-one has left them Feedback, I can't query their status. Or does this sound as though I'm looking in the wrong place?

And - can someone please explain the Forum etiquette of that line under each post where The Following User Says Thank You to soolin For This Useful Post appears?

    Thanks
    Better is good enough.

    Welcome Honey Bear :)

To look at buyers feedback go into the order for which buyer you want to look at and click on View profile next to the buyers name. This should take you to the correct place to see if they have any feedback or not.

The thank you part is where someone will thank a post that has helped them or they liked - for example I have thanked your post above so if you click on show me it will tell you who thanked you for your post

I just sold a £60 book for work today - very pleased :)

Excellent news about the £60 book - congratulations.

Ah ha! I was looking in completely the wrong place for Buyer's Feedback, so thanks for that.

I think this is my final question, but no doubt others will crop up - Why do people 'bump' in this Forum? What's that about?

We bump to push a thread back to the first page again if we feel that it would be lost to general view if it starts to go back through the pages.

As for buyer feedback virtually no seller bothers to leave any so it is unusual to see a buyer with more than 1 or 2 ratings at most. On Amazon it is really on a seller that needs to worry about feedback, just one poor rating can really affect a smaller seller which is why we all seem to go well beyond what is expected of us. Even if you find your buyer has poor feedback you can't cancel a sale without it hurting your seller metrics, and we can't even block buyers.
