    xmas-smiley-010.gifMorning OS friends. hellowave.gif
Taplady - hugs.gif Still remembering Janet in my prayers and thoughts.
Cranky - Glad you and the house elf are doing well.
Pipkin - I do hope you are feeling better today and can get around more, thank you for the link, but it is more about actually turning or moving
Smokey - I thought 'Day of the Triffids' was fab too and Eddie Izzard made such a great psychopath!
Seraphina - I hope you enjoy your late late Christmas show..giggle.gif
Glad - Good luck with selling your house. Just remember to take baby steps and not try to do too much all in one go or you will feel overwhelmed.
Noahs - Hope Noah feels better today
Rachel - What great Christmas prezzies! Enjoy.
Ladyshopper - nice to see you posting with us again
LadyGrim - Glad you liked the flowers. hugs.gif
Haribo - SO good to see you back with us.
xmastree.gif I had a lovely afternoon with Rachel yesterday, though her daughter has the attention span of a gnat and was exhausting! She looked great, really well rested and her scars, while still pink from the op are beginning to look less angry. She brought lunch with her - Sushi - my first time eating it and I don't think it will make it onto my favourites list.. As Crocodile Dundee said 'You can live on it - but it tastes like ****!'giggle.gif
xmastree.gif Need to start the inventory of my kitchen cupboards ready for Jan 1st. My OH insists he can still buy groceries til then but I am trying to dissuade him. I just need to get more organised with the meal planning. The Storecupboard challenge thread is great but only read the first few pages so far.

xmastree.gif Spoke to Tristan early hours of this morning briefly but the forums were still down when I went back to bed hence no post from me.

xmastree.gif My hip is still aching but nothing like yesterday so that is good.

Ok, well need to get the bread out of the BM and move the washing to the TD as it is pouring down. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day. With love and light to all.

    Afternoon all.

Haribo, good to see you back online - don't take any old buck from BT!:D

    PenPin how are you doing?

I'm typing this flat on my back on the sofa, netbook propped up in front of me; we saw Avatar last night (cheapie Tuesday in MK, and used my CEA card) It was great, but am absolutely 100% cream crackered today.

Have decided to say stuff the housework for now; as long as we're fed and have clean clothes, more important for me to get back on my (admittedly dodgy) feet than to worry about the rest of it.

Hoping to be as ok as I'm ever going to be by Monday; will need to do some lunchbox-type baking Sunday, but Mr LW can help with the fetching and carrying.;)

Dins tonight is shepherd spy (just needs nuking) and we actually have a plan for tomorrow's dins! This is a rare occurrence in the Wolf's Lair, but there's a couple of mega-spuds in the new sack, just begging to be jacket spuds.:D

Enough waffle from me - ((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hi all,

Just had a text from SunnyGirl to say that her Mother in law is dying. She was taken to hospital this morning and the family are all there now and have been told they have stopped all her meds and keeping her comfortable.

Could we please all send some love and thoughts and prayers for both a peaceful passing and for Sunny and her family?

    Thank you.

    Hello everybody,

Welcome back Haribo, we really did miss you.

PenPin...hope that you are feeling better.

Csarina.....have you tried a paste made with bicarb and water for itch....always used it with children when they were small.

    Ladygrim....hope that your cold improves.

Diva....glad that your hip is somewhat better....can't agree with your sushi opinion though, I love it.

Taplady....glad that Janet is feeling better.

Donny...agree with you on the church/civil ceremony bit, think that it is the setting really that does it for me, but each to his own..

Think that I've done well with the memory to-day....hugs to all those I have accidentally omitted.

Wet and windy here.....almost sleet that is falling, hoping that it doesn't turn into snow. Took OH to hospital for Warfarin check this morning, then he bought me a new phone so am happy to be back in the real world again...have no numbers though so am busily gathering again. Bought three of the four books I wanted with my Christmas vouchers, couldn't remember title of fourth one, but have the money left on the vouchers to get that too whenever I am in shop again. Then we went mad and met DD4 and DGS2 for lunch....OH's treat so all the cash I parted with was 70c for parking....really pleased with myself.

In case I don't get on again before New Year may I wish you all a peaceful and happy one.

    Marie

Sunnygirl....just seen your sad news, my prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time

Love and hugs to Sunnygirl and family.

Grumpy the house elf got up for the day at 4:50am this morning! He didn't go to bed until 8pm last night...I am shattered today. I have roasted a chicken. We will have some for dinner and I'll freeze the rest in portions. I will not be doing any other cooking or cleaning - I'm too tired.

Would anyone like a 5 year old? He's currently in the sitting room playing Wii bowling with our neighbour's children. I don't know where he gets the energy from as I certainly don't have enough to keep up with him.

This week I have also completed an awful form from Barclays pensions. Even though the end result will probably be about 50p a week, they wanted to know every person in my husbands family including all of his brothers and sisters so they can "decide who to pay the pension to". Cheek of it!

    Take care all of you.
