I have only used this Airline once and found them to be fine.As long as you follow the instrctions/rules, you are fine.I will definatly use again, especialy if just popping across to Dublin for the day.
If you don,t read the small print or deviate, you will get stung.
It,s the same with people who arrive at check in too late. They will stand there, lose their temper, demand to see managers, blame the airline for being the worst airline they have gone with, bla, bla, bla.
We fly approx 2 or 3 times a year.Whilst I don,t particularly like sitting around for hours I always aim to get to airport a couple of hours before check in closes.0 -
I am amazed at the amount of support for RA arrogant ways.
...
Just this Tuesday my wife was returning from Lanzarote only to have the flight canceled by RA 'Act of God'
But the $64,000 question is, given that you think that Micheal O'Leary is the devil incarnate, will your wife be seduced by their cheap prices again (which I presume is why she flew with them in the first place)?
And wasn't it a bit damp in Lanzarote on Tuesday?0 -

I can only assume that nothing has ever gone awry for them when traveling RA.
Just this Tuesday my wife was returning from Lanzarote only to have the flight canceled by RA 'Act of God' They were in the airport for 5 hours before the flight was canceled! No water or drinks given out. 'We do not have too'.One RA rep wandering up a 3 aircraft queue.Stating that could get home Thursday but would be a very long flight and with 3 stops but Saturday would be as normal.
When she arrived at the desk 5 hours later, correction she was in the queue for 5 hours. The PA was very short with her. Virtually told they could get her home on Thursday. They are not obligated to give any compensation. Would she like a refund of half her ticket. The PA did look embarrassed when she was told what the rep had already stated.
Upshot wife staying another 4 days reasonable hotel. Lucky old credit card.!!
But it seems trawling the web that its something RA do, they do not pay any compensation, unlike EasyJet and other low cost airlines. So she will just have to lay back and think of England and enjoy coz there is no money coming back to us!!
Very difficult to complain to RA. No procedure.
And this rant was my 1000 post!!
A bad experience.
Read the link posted below for details of the costs that Ryanair are legally obliged to refund (hotel, meals, telephone calls, etc.). The additional 250 euro compensation depends upon whether or not the cancellation was "their fault".
When my Ryanair flight was cancelled (not their fault) I followed their refunds procedure and received the full amount claimed within about five weeks, with no hassle.0 -

Not so with Ryanair. They haven't given priority to those with children or the elderly priority for soame time and I think they now board disabled travellers last, reserving seats for them close to the front.
I travelled with a disabled person on Ryanair last week. We were the first to board.0
