Still trying to finish my granny square blanket, Ive got loads of squares done but still more to go. Im going to put a cream fleece on the back :rotfl: not sure if it will work yet but will give it a go
My dil has a crocheted blanket lined with muslin. It's lovely! Obviously I didn't make it but would love to be able to.0 -
Not daft these publishers, they all stop sending them out (or news agents get fed up with all the mags) so you have to put in an order to keep getting the rest.
I still have issue 1 with sealed DVD if anyone wants it (please pm me and I will be happy to post it to you). I just can not get on with reading patterns. I find it so much easier to watch the video on youtube

I used to be like that when i first started (i make it sound like i have been crocheting for years rather than a few weeks!). But the speaking on the youtube is the pattern so after a few videos, i did manage to read one. although i still look at some patterns and dont have a clue. as long as it is simple single crochet i can manage it!! :rotfl: But I am hoping that with time I will be able to understand them all.
I do like the idea of the fleece on the back of the blanket. Nice and warm and pretty!0 -
The granny squares are shades of pale yellows and creams, so Im hopeing it will be warm with the fleece (we have a cheapy shop that sells everything, not sure about a kitchen sink but bet they do) I got for £2.00.
The shop is like a sweet shop is to a kid to me lol it has everything for crafting and all very cheap
If anyone is visiting Ripley in Derbyshire go have a look in Amber ValueGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

My biggest problem is time, I work evenings (sats & suns too) and my head is so full of things I want to make Im not sure where to start and then I get on here and see all the wonderful things being made and think I would love to do that too :rotfl:Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Oh I live in Somercotes so it's quite near. Do they sell wool too? I've looked at a few local places for wool but haven't found a very big selection so far. I can't believe neither me or the MIL thought to look there."Who’s that tripping over my bridge?" roared the Troll.
