im trying to book a room and i was wondering, the booking will be for me, hubby and 2 year old, will i need to book a family room even though we will be sharing one bed? Thanks

**** its ok rang them and they said i can have a double room ****

    Thanks for your help susancs
Forgot to say if you are accompaning your Little one on the rides at Adventure Island,Southend you ride for free, but can't go on the bigger rides without your own wristband-might save you buying a wristband if like me you don't like the big rides. You don't pay for park entry, you just buy a wrist band if you want to go on the rides. There is a nice train ride along the pier too. When we went on a school trip to Southend a couple of years ago the teacher took us all across the road from the Theme Park and there is a glass lift that you can use to get up the slope to the shops-the children loved this as it gives a great view of the beach front from on high.Lol, she callled it the lift ride, as the children were not able to go on rides in the theme park as it was an educational trip to look at the seaside and learn about lifeboats (lifeboat place at the end of the pier, but only groups can tour it, we were told).

If a family room is the same price I would go for the family room for the exrtra room, as you get a sofa to sit on. You can also contact the TL and get a cot put in the room at no extra cost if your 2 year old is still in a cot, but it is first come basis.

Quick question for the Travelodge experts!!

I'm trying to book a room for me and my son..... if I go the Saver room route, it will only book 1 adult..... I tried to amend it and it charges £39 instead of £19/29.

Can anyone tell me how I get round this please?? x x

    **EDIT**

Never mind, figured it out by accident!! Managed to book 6 nights at Easter for £140..... at Staines.... will be spending all our days in Thorpe Park!!

Really? Damn i have a 18month old and i booked a family room! Could have saved a few quid! Oh well still a bargain!!!
You wouldn't have saved anything. All the rooms are the same price.;)
  • If staying in the Travel lodge near Southend. Don't forget you can use your Tesco vouchers to buy the Adventure Island wristband.
  • Very strange. When booked the amount showed as came out of my account in my 'available balance' but now a few days later I've gone into my banking and the amount is no longer being held, and it hasn't came off my account.....
    anyone else had this?
  • just got an email saying all the $9 room have gone now but they still have lots of $19 rooms left, still a bargain especially if you are going as a family of 4, less than a fiver each per night

Hi I wonder if you can help- Im sure this has been answered before but I accidently booked a single room instead of a double. I cant think it matters because they dont do single rooms but Im not sure what will happen when I ring them. Will they try to charge huge amounts extra to change to a double?

Bookings all showing in "my account" when logged-in to TL.

The money still hasn`t been taken from my bank account although the difference between actual and available balance is the amount TL intends to take.
