Hi, I know you've just joined, but this isn't a booking service. Just search for rooms on their website and you will see what is available..
Im very aware its not a booking service. However I did think it was a forum where people helped each other out, obviously incorrect. I did try some options on the website and couldnt find much but as I have stated I wasnt bothered where or when it was so thought I would ask just incase someone else had recently booked a room cheaply or had a done a search and found some cheap rooms at a travelodge. Wont bother in future, thanks for being so helpful0 -

Megabus goes to Cardiff and we used them from London and got £2 return fares in October. The TL is Cardiff bay (Atlantic Wharf) is a nice one as fairly new and beside the Red Dragon Centre which has restaurants, cinema, bowling and Dr Who Exhibition. The Bay area is a 5 min walk and has nice restaurants. You can get the no 6 blue baycar bus from near where Megabus drops off to outside the TL. Mon 1o May £19 Tues and Wed £22 at Atlantic Wharf (add to basket separatly to get Mon at £19, as block booking charges all nights at £19 and change search options to number in room as pre-set for 1 adult in case you want to book breakfast). Cardiff central TL looks a bit old. Megabus fares Mon 10 return Thurs 13 £8 return per person. Breakfast was good and £5.99 per adult, with kids eating free when booked online.

There is a thread on MSE if you do a search on "what is the best travelodge" thread-it may give you some ideas.

Also check Tripadvisor. I booked the TL in Leamington Spa after reading about it on MSE and looking at trip Advisor reviews for when we go to Warwick Castle. It is apparently an old fashioned hotel in a nice area.0 -

tbh, unless you are expecting other members of this forum to sit and do all the searching for you, what other replies did you expect?
if someone else has recently booked a cheap room at a hotel, that wont help you, as the room rate is based on interest/popularity, so as soon as someone gets a cheap room at that hotel, the price will go up - it isnt a blanket price for every room at that hotel
the search facility on the sale section of the travelodge website, is the quickest and easiest way for you to find something, as you choose a location, and then it lists the nearest 10 hotels to that place, and their prices, week by week, so once you have decided on location, its just a case of clicking through the weeks to find rooms at a price you like
unless you have a rough timescale and area you wish to visit, then browsing the whole travelodge website isnt really an option, as its too time consuming
sorry, if i too have come across as mean, but what you are asking of the members here, is a bit much

Every time we have booked, the funds have been taken fairly swiftly. I think I would be a bit concerned that this hasn't happened for some of you. The email service is tragic - they send an auto reponse which says that your query will be dealt with in the next 10 days....0

The simple answer is to log-in to your TL account where it shows every room booked.
When I booked my rooms on the morning of the sale I also received email confirmation.
If TL don`t want to charge me for my rooms, I don`t mind.0 -

I think it's more of a problem for people where funds are tight and the money may be pulled out later when they've forgotten - or not expecting it!0 -

Yes,I agree but it`s the first time I can recall this happening and I`ve been using them for years.
Someone pointed out earlier that TL are aware of what`s happened (or NOT happened) and I can`t imagine they are going to forget about it.
Like you say people need to budget and therefore need to know.0 -

Hiya, I dont know if this helps because it is so close to you but I have just booked Birmingham Maybush for Aug at £19 (so we can go to cadbury world), I then went back to book another (i need 3 rooms in total) and it had gone up to £25! I have booked that and then went back and it has gone up again to £28. I then rung central bookings and they said to keep an eye on it because they only allocate so many a day so tomorrow they may be back down to £19?
Also there were a lot of other birmingham hotels still at £19. But if you didnt want birmingham maybe have a search for areas you like and then if they are not £19 keep checking back. Thats what I am gonna do for the last room I need

Good luck everyone and Thank you to all posters xx0
