Looks like they`re finally getting round to collecting the dough.
    Mine shown as taken yesterday.

I was in the same situation as you 2010, and the money was also taken out yesterday. Better than turning up on the day and finding problems with the booking

im a little confused from everyones posts. Do travelodge take the money for booking out of account now or when we check in? (on the site it says they take the money on arrival) Thanks

Usually when you book online they take the money within three days.

This particular time for the 7/1/10 £9 room sale there appears to have been a glitch and the money has only just began to be taken.
  • I have had alook at my bank account and mine hasn't been taken out yet. I booked mine the first day of the promotion.
  • Hello everyone, I wonder if anyone can help me at all...I have taken advantage of previous travelodge offers, and have had no problem booking a string of 9 pound rooms, since i have been living abroad and it has given me chance to come over for a weeks holiday...this time I decided that I would like to move accross to the UK with the deal, and so I thought I would book to stay for 2 months in Travelodges whilst I find work and accomodation

The system forced me to book a night at a time to get the saver rate...could add them to my cart and pay for about 5 at a time before it said I had too many in the cart...but it was a long haul...instead of getting booked up in an hour, I plugged away for 13 hours to book 70 nights...all separately

In case I ever have to do this again...does anyone know a better way....as I say, it seems this is the first time it has made me book a night at a time to get the special room rate

Of course, I had to move to different travelodges on different nights for the best deals...I got some at 9 pounds, some 19, some 22, and a couple at 32, ..I managed to average 18.63 for all of the nights I booked...so v pleased...but a very long days booking...solidly whilst the system kept crashing etc too !!

    I would appreciate any input.....many thanks !!!!

Well done for your patience and bargain rooms booked!

I managed to book 6 rooms at £9 all at once and it let me checkout OK. I wanted to keep the credit card surcharge to a minimum. Not sure if this was because I was up at 4am or if it was an IT issue at your end?
  • Travelodge finally took payment today,
Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .

Lol, didnt mean to thank you, pressed wrong button. we always stay at covent garden it as a multi story car park right next door, i got the passes too, we go in may, although didn quite catch the cheap rooms for the days i wanted, within walking distance to leicester square.

If you use the Covent Garden car park, pack your car before you pay for your parking (you can pay on exit with a card). We paid before and then had to pay an extra £4 on exiting as it took us too long to pack the car.:mad::mad: Don't think we got the TL discount on the extra payment.

Contact the TL direct, I am sure they would give you a good rate. There is a couple who actually live in a Travel Lodge. Yes you did read correctly, they live there.

    This article is interesting....
