Today is the THIRD time in three days that I have waited in queues, paid for goods, only to either A- have a security alarm at exit or B-get home to find security tag still attached to garment !! AGGHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can MARTIN set up a new campaign for stores to PAY US a £10 apology for every time I get embarrassed at store exits whem alarms go off despite having paid and holding full receipt, being checked by security and/or having to return to the store days later to get security tags removed. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS.
Stores to date include Matalan,Peacocks, Sainsburys ... any more out there ?

:rotfl:Tesco's is always doing it to me... tbh I don't get embarrased anymore its happaned that many times:rotfl:Light travels faster than sound - that's why you can see someone who looks bright until they open their mouth.0

This has happened to me once when a new Debenhams opened in town, it was the girls first day, she was so embrassed bless her never happened anywhere other than this0

why not just get rid of the security tags and security staff and add a fiver to every item to cover the cost of shop lifters!!!!
Or you could just ask the assistance to remove the security tags whilst you are there as you know they are on the garment and you have watched the assistant not remove the security tags then place the garments in the bag!!Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
this happens all the time in my local asda - and it is very annoying!
quite often it isn't a tag but something that needs to be swiped correctly by a cashier (not entirely sure what the problem is- all shopping is accounted for on the receipt and paid for) this means you have to wait at customer services till someone is free to deal with you - and you never get an apology for the delay it has caused.
If this only happened once or twice I'd be fed up but it regularly happens - not just to me but other shoppers as well. I've started shopping at Sainsburys and I've never had it happen there.0 -
What I really hate is when the supposedly deactivated tag from Shop A (e.g. on a DVD case) sets off the alarms when you go INTO Shop B... and then you have to walk all around Shop B knowing that you're going to set the alarms off when you go out.
I used to work at the local library when I was at school, and the security system in the film and music section was always set off by deactivated tags from a local shop - think it might have been Argos. Whenever anyone set the alarms off we'd just ask if they'd been to Argos and let them go!0 -
Can Martin set up a campaign for people to take responsibility for their own actions and for themselves in general - i.e. checking security tags before leaving shops etc?0

there are no obvious security tags on the stuff that sets off the alarm at asda - i think some places use the security tags like Boots - where they are run across a machine that stops them setting off the alarm - there is no way a customer could tell if it has been done properly by the cashier
by the way it is not our responsibility to check the cashiers are doing what they are paid for0 -

I think that principle goes against most of the MSE campaigns!Gone ... or have I?0 -
when i worked in woolies, admittedly 13 years ago, someone left a sec tag on some kids clothes and the manager was sent out to the customers house with a removal machine thing to remove it because they complained to head office. the member of staff got very much told off0

I just sail striaght on past the alarms if I have apparently 'set them off' if I know I havn't stolen anything - what's the point in investing heavily in electronic security systems if there is no one monitoring them??The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.
