Yep - them being a garage and all - I did. Hold my hands up to that one! Perhaps they're actually all chefs or schoolteachers rather than mechanics?0 -

If so, how much did the garage quote you for the repair before you authorised the work?
I think you simply asked for an MOT and hoped to avoid the cost of preparing the car for the MOT beforehand."Now to trolling as a concept. .... You mentioned the website & I would simply like to read the T&Cs myself. That's if you are actually seeking help and advice on what to do"Now to trolling as a concept. .... my husband MOTs cars for a living, that's all they do - no repairs
and with people like you it's no wonder my darling husband comes home after a day at work shaking his head that people can be so deluded or stupid
if the wipers didnt work why not ask them to fix them before the MOT? or give permission for them to fix and then retest for you?
you have 14 days where my husband works to get a free retest if it fails'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0 -
But that is not what you asked for is it?

I'm not sure I understand how I'd be avoiding any costs? I would have paid for the repair to be done. 'Preparing my car for an MOT'? I don't do this. If I spot something wrong with my car, I take it to a garage. Exactly what I did here.
I've already explained what I asked for in great detail.0 -

No need to give the third degree...........
Can you please point out where I was being/abrupt/rude or condescending?
it is not a 'third degree' to give a clear and concise answer I needed more info hence the questions,
had the OP said 'took my car for an MOT asked them to fix the wipers then they failed my car and told me they cant fix it' would have warranted a different sceanrio,
Now as for being rude have you looked in the mirror recently I draw your attention to your statement in red:mad:
And thank you I had a lovelly Xmas:beer:IMOJACAR

What's the issue?
You mentioned the website & I would simply like to read the T&Cs myself. That's if you are actually seeking help and advice on what to do
I'm not sure what you think you'll gain from reading the T&Cs 'for yourself', and doubt your reasns are anything to do with 'advising me on what to do'. If you want to do the searching, then the garage used was Kwik-Fit - feel free to have a look at their site for yourself, but please save yourself the effort of making a response - there are lots of others offering helpful advice on what to do from here.0
