I just love doing stuff. My bike arrived yesterday and it's awesome!!! And it looks great too, I'm so pleased with it. Just don't like the saddle...:( BF gave me some slicks to put on so I won't wear my mtb tyres out straight away. Can't wait to go mountain biking this weekend! We're camping in a multi activity centre that has a climbing wall as well so BF should be happy.

I need to just keep the spending under control, get some extra cash and tweak the budget when I know how much I'm getting after the bike. I'm sure I'll find a way... So much to do, so little money to do it with... :( Spoke to bf and he's trying to keep the costs down for us as well which is good. He earns a lot more than me but also ows a hell of a lot more than me. But he's young and has a career in engineering so he'll be alright. I really need to sort myself out as don't want to earn this little all my life. SH, I must speak to you soon!

Ah, hard to be at work again after such a fantastic weekend.

Drove up near to Llangorse lake on Friday after work, the weather and scenary was lovely. Unfortunately it rained on Saturday, but we still went for a 11 mile mountain bike ride in the afternoon and then climbing in the evening. Thankfully weather improved for Sunday and we did two adjacent trails that ended up being about 24miles. It was hard work, but some of the scenary was gorgeous and bits of the trail were absolutely fab. I guess if I keep it up though, I'll get fitter as the uphills were bit knackering. Monday I had beach vb and Tuesday I had a well earned rest day. :)

Money wise, I'm still spending bit too much and I really need to get it under control now! And find an alternative way to do all the things I want to. It's free listing day on ebay this Sunday so will make most out of that as still have things to sell. I think tonight after softball I'll get some listings ready and not see my bf (hard as it is). Can't believe it's the 6th week we're going out together now, gone so quick...

Thanks saving, will have to make time to do that.

It's a lovely sunny day and we were supposed to go to the beach to play vb, but now we don't have enought going. :( I wanted to cycle there as well, so double bad.
And bf will be busy choosing a new flatmate so must find something else to do (I actually have loads to do, but something nice would be better); maybe I'll go for a run later when it's bit cooler or clean my bike from the weekend...Should def do the latter.

12 days to pay day and I've spent all my money and have nothing left from budgeted. Have other money, but shouldn't really need to use that for food. I've been very bad! I think what I also need to do is get ebay listing ready for Sunday's free listing day. I need to make some more money!

I feel so unfocused. I really need to get a grip. My financies are in bit of a mess, should be recovarable but needs some time spent on it. But feel I can't do anything before next pay day on 15th as pay will be bit lower and then I need to work out my new budget. Can't do anything else except rein in spending...and atm am not doing that.

Missed SUnday's free listing day as well. I've been really bad!

Had loads of work to do yesterday, but it's all repetitive so my day got really boring.

In the evening went to see Florence and the Machine outside in a big tent which was good. BF still struggling and not quite gotten over his viral infection. It's really hit him hard as he's still not cycling to work nor climbing and every day this week he's fallen asleep after work. He's bit strapped for cash atm as well till pay day so don't have to spend any money doing anything extra, jippee. :o

Hmmm, I think I've gotten myself into a tight spot by spending money I don't have. :( Should've known better but just wanted to do some fun things as well. I think it's really the clothes I could've done without (used already so not able to return them).

Tomorrow is pay day and then I can work out how much I'm out and how tight it's going to be till next pay day. Doesn't help that the santander zero minimum payment is so high and I wan't ready for that. Just need to be very, very careful now!

Plan of action for this week:
    • sort out new budget tomorrow
    • no coke or chocolate buying till 'holiday'/going back home on 26th
    • be smart with food and don't spend what you don't have
    • collate a list of books and get them online to be sold
    • be strict with all of above
gotta put it up here so I'll be ashamed if I don't keep to my list.

I think I'm getting a cold so not feeling 100% either, which doesn't help.

Good on you for getting a list together!

I spoke to OH at the weekend about finances and we have agreed to tighten our belts a bit. I am hoping that we can pay off £500 a month off our debt if we tighten things up as well. I am also due my holiday pay at some stage and OH will be getting a bonus (not sure how much but every bit counts).

Ok, pay day today. Yippee! (for a second :o)

Got the same money as last month so rang payroll to quiery as the bike money was supposed to come out this month. Well, they haven't sorted it out yet, so salary sacrifice will start from July pay. Which actually works really well for me.

I do have a 'bit' of a discrepancy with stuff coming in and stuff needing paying because I did use my credit card last month to pay for food and some clothes. But I think that if I really knuckle down this month and don't spend any extra, I should be able to bring the balance back to zero and start a fresh next pay day.

And I'll be off back home next Saturday week for 15 days and if I'm careful with money when I'm there as well as here, it all sounds just about doable. The trip breaks up things nicely so I won't be doing anything extra here either.

I'll try to get some stuff on ebay and works intranet in the hope I can get some extra money coming in as well.
