Hiya all!
Gotten bit distracted with my new man (yes, have started going out with my ex flatmate now!) and we've had so much fun. Been running, swimming, indoor climbing, started salsa again etc. Busy busy! He's also helping me decide what bike to get on the cycle to work scheme so I can start mountain biking as well. It's been quite full on, seen each other most days, but we have lived together so makes it bit different. My ex emailed me today saying he'd heard that I'd started going out with my flatmate, asking if it was true. Emailed him back saying yes.
Been cycling to work for 4 weeks now and it's been good, but I've been so lucky with the weather, it hasn't properly rained yet. Fine rain today on the way to work, but didn't get wet. Haven't really missed my car yet so that's been good and I have actually enjoyed the cycling and can't wait to get up on the mountains with my new one (if it gets sorted in time).
On debt busting front absolutely nothing has happened and I've slacked off massively. Need to get my butt back in gear, but budget will alter when I have to start paying for my bike. I still haven't managed to get on santander zero online banking so have no idea how much the minimum payment with that will be. Fingers crossed I'll managed all my commitments.
There's so many activities I want to do as well over the summer, I really don't know how I'm going to manage it all.
Hope everyone's doing well!DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
It's lovely to see you so happy.
I wonder if your ex got a bit of a shock hearing that you were going out with your ex-flatmate. Is he seeing anyone?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks CMD. My flatmate's said I'm like a different person and much happier. I guess all the things that weren't right with my ex were taking their toll and I wasn't as happy as I could've been.
I don't think my ex was expecting me (and neither was I) to start seeing someone so quickly, but i don't think he counted in the factor that I was trying so hard with him, but getting nothing back and so emotionally I probably was ready to start seeing someone else. As far as I know, he's not seeing anyone. He's one of those people that take a long time to mull over things. I wasn't really planning to start seeing anyone either, but it just happened and I'm really enjoying the company.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
I get what you mean. Sometimes we grieve for relationships long before they are over. So do you think things could get serious with the new fella or are you just enjoying spending time with him?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hmmm, that's a good question. I really don't know. I still have to get used to the idea he's so much younger than me. I think things like when he's 30, I'm going to be 37! Then again, I know a few couples with age differences of up to 18 years. Also, my bf's mother is 52 and dating a guy who's 35. And we very much like similar kind of things and he seems to be very keen.
I think he definitely is the kind of guy who would move in with me in the future, but we're really not talking about things like that yet. Can't believe it but it's only been 3weeks! But we've seen so much of each other it's like we've been going out for months.
Got an email from my ex yesterday. I did want to tell him that I've started seeing my ex flatmate, but he's spoken to someone else and guessed. THe email was funny, he said that he noticed that there was something (but not something going on) between me and my flatmate months ago, enough for him to notice it and mention it to someone else saying that if we'd ever break up, he thought we'd get together. I think he's really gutted and bit hurt, especially as I've started seeing someone else so quickly, but he still realises that he can't give me what I want so wishes me happiness. He said he misses me, but obviously not that much not that I'd get back together with him now anyway.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Thanks SH.
Need to tighten my purse strings after this weekend. Seriously!
Surfing lesson booked for tomorrow morning, but going tonight and camping. Can't wait! Don't exactly have the right gear which is bit annoying, but really love outdoorsy stuff. I need to make some extra money to start buying all this stuff I need. There's so much I need!
BF has an interview in Bristol on Tuesday. Which is not that far, but I don't know how it would work if he moves there...I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but I can always 'see' situations too far ahead. We're having such an amazing time atm I don't want it to stop.
Just ordered my bike on the cycle to work scheme, which means I have to stay with my current employer for the next 18 months unless I get a much better paid job. Need to start looking at secondments or something, but atm, nothing available.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

I like Bristol and have been there a few times doing things, but I like Cardiff better and my life is here (beach vb especially) . But as I said, I'm jumping way ahead of myself here even thinking about things like that. The job would be a very good opportunity for him though.
That's a lovely offer CMD. I'm not that far from Bristol either.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0
