I sold it for £500 last night. The first guy never turned up nor called, so I sold it to the lady though I got another desperate guy wanting it and offering a bit more, but I felt obliged to sell it to the lady cos I did say she could have it if the first guy didn't want it. Never mind. I never thought I'd get £500 for it, was going to be happy for £350 what I spent on it last time, so I'm happy. Will be funny without a car though...
Money from car will go to a savings account and it's 'not to be touched money'.
Gosh, lot of changes recently...:eek:DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
That is great you sold the car, you will get used to not having it and at least you have the money.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160

Yeah, I will get used to not having a car, though I do think it'll limit my choices...Maybe when I get a better paid job I can start looking again.
As I said, lots of changes recently, now I have to try to adjust to them.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Have been off for a bit as started my 'new job' on Monday and been getting used to it. I have to cycle to work now so I'm doing near enough 8 miles a day, actually, after this, I will go and map it for accuracy.
Job is ok, ppl are ok, but I'm still not happy how they've handled the whole thing and will need to talk to someone in HR. All I've heard so far is that I'm supposed to be here for 6 months. I don't think anyone knows anything and they are not keeping me up to date either.
Been doing so much lately that yesterday when I went for a run with a mate, I just couldn't do the whole 4miles and had to stop after 2.5, my squads just felt so heavy. Today I'm having a day off though I might go for a refreshing walk and tomorrow I'll be taking it easy as well.
Good luck with sellling your car doodles!DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Hi Tirl - very frustrating about work from the sound of it. Great news on the car sale. You must be really fit with the volleyball and cycling and everythingAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Debt update. Just paid my s.loan instalment and am near £8k mark now. And I'm quite pleased with my progress though it does feel like a long old slog. Almost 40% paid off though. My santander card has finally come through as well. Only got £2400 limit though, but might try to get that up when I call them to activate the card and do the BT. Fingers crossed.
On a different note. I have bit of a 'flirting interest' going on with my ex flatmate. We've started going out for runs together, only once a week and he comes to mine for a drink of water after. Once we came back from a run about quarter to 7, but he was still at mine gone 9pm! Seems it's all just a bit of fun, which kind of suits me, but it's nice to be able to chat with someone interesting (and cute!) now and again. Going to cinema tomorrow with him...which he came to arrange last night at about 10pm and left half one in the morning...I really don't understand how time can go so quickly.

More good debt news. Have made the BT now, only £2280 transfered to Santander Zero card, but it's better than nothing and should save around £150 in interest. Will change sig now, but it might need tweeking when I get home.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

That is great about the balance transfer, every bit helps and it's saving you some interest. I've started regretting paying off my 4 cards as now I'm back to having no money, wish I'd saved a couple of grand, oh well too late now. I have £500 in my Post Office ISA but might get that out and leave it in my bank so I have money there to pay my credit card bills coming up.
That is great you have someone to go running with and even better if he is cute and asked you to the cinema, even if it's only as friends at least you have someone to talk to and go out and about with.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Yes, it's difficult after you get money and you use it all to pay off debt and then realise it would've been nice to use some of it for something else.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0
