Right I have finally caught up with your diary, can't believe I haven't noticed it before.
So sorry about your split, but reading through it seems it was coming for a long time and was the right decision. Speaking from experience, it does get easier but it takes a while, so don't knock yourself for being angry or hurt.
Certain things still happen in my life now, some 18 months later which still make me feel anger towards my ex.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

THanks doodle. I had another long chat with ex on Saturday night. Things that I needed to clear up for myself rather than anything else. It did help as well, and I'm feeling better about the whole thing. It's just hard cos I didn't really want to break up even though I knew that was the right thing to do. Anyway, I think we'll be ok now and can be friends. I know I will still have feelings towards him and I'm sure some things that he'll do will get me annoyed, but I will let it go. He's a good guy really, sometimes these things just happen.
Had a lovely weekend playing beach volleyball. Saturday was lovely, Sunday bit cooler. I'm gonna concentrate on fitness now and sorting my life out for me. All in good time though. I'm ditching the junk food now;no more chocolate, coke or crisps. And also start eating healthier. Need to device a plan though, otherwise it's too easy to fall off.
Thanks for all your support ladies!DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
I've been very good exercise wise this month so far. I've done 6 walks of 5k when I haven't fancied running, one 4 mile run and 4 days on the beach meaning I've not done anything only on one day (unless you include dancing when I went out...) !
For this week I'm planning at least 3 runs, indoor training tonight, beach vb on Saturday, weather permitting and indoor match on Sunday. Think couple of walks as well and some yoga and we're getting there. I think I start keeping tabs on my diary as well what I've been up to.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Well I'm mightily peeved off and that's putting it way too mildly.
We've had this big merge at work and everything been up in the air. My manager and another guy from our 4 man office team were moved to a different location and we though (me and my line manager) that we would follow them in due course when there were spaces available. The whole merge was done badly and the back office staff not kept up to date, mainly us two, at all. This all started in the begining of the year, but only on first day of the new financial year, us two were told that we were under different OM to our ex bosses.
Our new OM has come to see once since, and he came again today, to tell me, that I'm being moved to a different location, and as of next Monday! I'm walking to work now, am going to sell my car and I'm being moved to the other side of the city! It's not actually that far, and I used to work in that area (it's an industrial estate and horrible) and I can cycle there, but I am not happy at all! I didn't want to go back there. But I have not much choice.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Hi Tirl - sorry I have neglected your diary recently! Hugs - a lot going on for you right now! How frustrating re work! Re the car - sounds a sensible solution. Glad you have something to look forward to with the Finland holiday and that you have cleared the air some more with OH. It is going to take time for things to settle and feel "normal" again......
I love Avril Lavigne's song "I want to be anything but ordinary". I hope I don't sound too twee but this really is an opportunity to change your life for good and get what you really want.
Perhaps start by making a list of what you would like in an ideal partner.... Your brain will start subconsciously lookign for them... Give it a go!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks SH, your input is always appreciated, whenever it comes.
Doesn't sound twee at all, you absolutely right. I'm just too good at proscrastinating and letting things happen rather than taking total control of my destination. Yes, I need to start making a lot of lists. I will contact you later on, but not feeling quite ready yet.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
