Big hugs Tirlittan-it's so tough going through a break up even if you think it is the right thing to do.

Hi Tirl - hugs - it is a big decision that you are both on the brink of - but from your posts on the diaries and challenges - possibly the right one...? I agree with CMD you deserve to be with someone who really loves you and says so and shows it by his actions and daily choices.

I always say my OH showed me what love was.....

Well it didn't happen on Saturday. He came round, helped me move the furniture (and it looks so much better now), we went for a walk, I made dinner, we had a bottle of wine and watched a movie. He stayed overnight, but we did just sleep. I had a match on Sunday,so left him sleeping (well he did wake up). I guess I just wanted one nice day together (I like to finish my relationships in a nice way). After match I realised we needed to finish the conversation I started in Belfast. He came around, we talked, but we want different things so we ended it. So I'm back to singledom. :(:(:(

Big hugs. I hope you are okay. If it is any consolation I think you absolutely did the right thing. Can you stay friends do you think?

You sound like such a lovely person I have no doubt you will meet someone who wants the same things as you and how will be able to give you exactly what you want.

    Thanks CMD.
Yeah, I know I did the right thing. As much as I wanted him to be the one...
Yes, I think we will stay friends. He's not a bad person. At least he was able to admit that he didn't see me getting the things I wanted and he was a bit upset as well.

He sounds like a decent fella and at least he was honest with you. That's a good thing :)

    That is very true savingholmes.
Trying to keep busy and have plenty to do atm so that is good. Monday is always a training night, Tuesday went for a run with a mate, which was nice for a change, today I think I'm having a rest day, tomorrow been invited to a leaving party with ex colleagues (usually I would've probably turned this down, but it's perfect excuse to go out). Need to decide if I'm going to see friends on Friday and Saturday and then Sunday-Monday we have a beach volleyball tournament.

Have started telling people that I've split up with bf, only because it makes it more real, that it's finished and no going back.
