Confession time: I had a mars bar on Monday, but I really needed something to get me through vb training after 1.5 softball training and cycling, so that was kind of excusable. Yesterday's bottle of coke and small bar of galaxy has none though...Must do better! Have no money on me today and have food for the evening so shouldn't have any excuses, except I just remembered I need to go to the shop for some dishwasher tablets... I think I'll just try to limit the buys and do my best.

Didn't get accepted for M&S More card either :(. Maybe I should've waited bit longer and cancelled some other cc's first. Never mind, it was worth a try but I'll manage without.

Hi Tril - your debt is coming down nicely now. Congratulations... If you can get back on track with your spending this month then that is also great news... going to take me a little longer methinks...

Thanks SH. I think it'll still be a struggle to get the credit cards paid before my birthday next year. I know I'm going to pay off the s.loan this year, but I just want things to move quicker.

Not buying chocolate and coke failed miserably. :( Never mind. And I don't think I'll quite manage to keep within budget this month either.

My coach leaves 7pm tonight, will be at the airport half past midnight and then have to spend the night there. Flight leaves half 7 in the morning. Cheap flight but very inconvenient time. Will prob sleep on the coach and then hopefully be alright when I arrive in Finland quarter past midday on Saturday.

Can't wait to be honest. Looking forward to chilling out, catching up with family and friends in a relaxed manner. I will have to borrow some money off my car savings, but so be it.

Plan of action for this week:
    • sort out new budget tomorrow
    • no coke or chocolate buying till 'holiday'/going back home on 26th
    • be smart with food and don't spend what you don't have
    • collate a list of books and get them online to be sold
    • be strict with all of above

    Well hello ladies.
Above hasn't reallly worked, not before the hols anyway.
When I came back from holiday, I had bit of a holiday blues. I brought some chocolates back from Finland which we ate with BF on the first week, but since I've kept of chock and only have had one coke at the beach tournament so on that I feel I'm doing really well.
Have cooked some nice meals this week as well, which is good.

I'm so skint atm though. I spent more on hols than I thought I would and haven't managed to save enough for the tournies so account is looking very poor for this month and I still have one tournie to go and my friends hen do this weekend. After those I won't be doing much for the rest of the month till next pay day...:(

I think change is in order as well and will be starting a new diary when I get time.

Things are still going extremely well with BF. Because he came to the last tournament as he was doing a race nearby, we went in his car and he added me to his insurance so I could drive other people to the beach on Sunday when he was doing his race. He's a sweetheart!

    Hi Tir,

Sorry to hear things aren't going too well budget wise. It sounds like your BF is lovely though, so that must help :)

I am in the same predicament as you, am totally skint. Lots of things coming up that I have commited to and lots of money will be spent. To be fair, I have 2 weddings to go to and they are 2 very close friends so I will enjoy them but as from September I am debt busting with a vengeance.

Yeah, I've totally lost control of the budget. And it's all my fault. I've also used some of the car money that I said I wouldn't touch. I might use the rest now to pay more off s. loan so I can definitely get that out of the way this year.

My POA (not sure of the time scale)
    • burn some cd's onto laptop then musicmagpie them
    • list the books on works intranet and gumtree
    • see if I have anything to ebay
    • sell the damn camera I've been hoarding for ages! (problem here is I don't know how much to ask, don't want to let them go too cheaply, but want some money out of them soonish!)
    • declutter and organise my room
    • reactivate amazon stock but check first I have everything
