Well, the bed base has been bought. It's only a 2 draw one, but supposedly loads of space (see when I get it) and it's been delivered tonight! I'm sure it'll be fine and at least it's (fingers crossed) here tonight.
Yay - at least it is on the way and you can get the room doneTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Indeed, really looking forward to that, and getting rid of all the card board boxes.
Now she can start concentrating on sorting the broadband!!!DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Oh well, so things were going too well last night, the bed base was delivered before I left for training, we ripped the plastic off and put it together, then mattress on top and oops! the mattress is too big! So in fact, I had a king size, not double bed, but the bed base she bought was double. So back to square one.
I came from 3/4 bed so I thought mine was double bed, but my flatmate has a king size bed in her rooom, and before I moved in, she was sleeping in my room, so surely she knew both beds where the same size? My room is slightly smaller though, so maybe she thought it was a double cos there's more room around her bed...I don't know, but am not quite sure what happens now. Obviously, she needs to change the bed base.

Sounds like a nightmare. She sounds a bit scattered!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

She does indeed and last night she was saying that she wasn't...well, I beg to disagree.
I'm sure things will settle down when all these things are sorted though.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Well, I think she's had enough as well, so she's given me her bed base with 4 draws and is buying herself a new one 'at some point'. Not sure how she manages her own business as she doesn't seem to be that organised. I didn't have a problem with waiting, as long as there was a delivery date etc, but at least I'm sorted now. She just doesn't seem to listen when you speak to her.
Virgin man is coming this Friday so hopefully will be sorted for internet soon as well.
No debt busting atm. Have little money left till pay day on 15th and going to see mates in London as well. I think I should be just about ok. Might afford a tenner for One Debt vs 100 days, really want to pay some more off.
Just checked virgin online, estimated interest for last month dropped by 14p so am just under £5800 though that's the exact figure I was aming for. Going to update snowball and sig now.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Oh how annoying, finally got payment from ciao, but didn't realise they send it to paypal. It's only £5.50 so can't withdraw it without funding the account first which atm is bit of a hassle. Don't really have disposable cash atm.
I wonder if there's any hope having broadband running at home at the weekend if it's installed on Friday? Then I should start some ebaying again.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

SH - that made me laugh.
But to be honest, not quite sure how she manages to run two businesses...I guess that's always the risk you take when you move in with a stranger, she seemed ok the first two times I met her, but organisational skills wise, I'd give her a big fat zero!
Never mind, I seem to have a lot of time on my own in the flat which is so nice. Unfortunately it also makes me want to have it more, like all the time. I've promised myself to get most of sorting out done today so I have a clearer picture what I want to do with the room. Thankfully bf is away all this week, has given me time just to concentrate on my own stuff. He's enjoying his skiing and getting better, which bodes well for next year and a skiing holiday together.
I do hate relying on other people, but in my situation, I can't be too choosy. Everything someone can lend/give me for free, is less money spent on other things and more for debt.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
