Could have gone down to £5 don't know - money for nothing as long as you remember to cancel it afterward

I'm bit fed up with my flatmate. She didn't sort the bed out, so when I next see her (I was busy during the weekend) I'll first offer to pay half of the delivery, if that doesn't work, then I'll just pay it all. I want my bed to be sorted!!! I really want to have tidy room with no boxes. Actually, I'll just pile all the boxes in the living room, maybe that'll make her up a gear!

She's not quite used to having someone else around either (not that she's been in much since I moved there). The other day, I'd gone shopping to get rest of the stuff to do broccoli and stilton soup, stilton was in the fridge as it didn't get used at Xmas, but when I got back home and opened the fridge,it was no longer there! I asked her when she came back and she said she'd thrown them in the bin!! She was mortified, said she didn't eat cheese and thought it was mouldy...I have to say, I wasn't impressed.

    Hiya!

    Did she replace the cheese?

I know you want to get the room sorted but you shouldn't be paying for delivery of a bed you are entitled to. She sounds very slack. What are you sleeping on now? I would just keep asking her everyday. As a landlady she has a responsibility to do what she said she would do.

Well this is where it all gets complicated. My flatmate is not the landlady, but is friends with her and seems to be able to do what she wants i.e. decorating wise etc. I do have a bed, but when I came to have a look, I said I could do with underbed storage, she said she had a divan bed with 4 draws, but when she went to see it up in the loft,it'd gone mouldy. So she bought a new bed base, but they didn't say the delivery cost extra. So in a way I feel she's doing me a favour, but I just want it to be sorted. I think she's bit of an airhead, but you never know before you actually live with someone, do you?

Hmmm, I've got about £45 to last me till pay day in 14 days. From that needs to come my food and anything I eat/drink in London when I go and see my mates...not looking good. And I have a friend visiting on Thursday I need to cook for...:( Oh, just found another tenner, I'm sure that'll make all the difference. :)

Ah, that's fair enough. Might be a good idea to offer to pay something towards the delivery then. That way you might get it quicker!

She just rang me and said she could get a 2 draw one by Wednesday. But I think I'd prefer a 4 drawer one. I don't mind if I have to wait, if it's ordered and I know when it's coming. The thing is, I stripped the bed down on Thursday as it was supposed to come on Friday and I haven't bothered to put it properly back together cos I didn't know if she was sorting it out or not.

I'm quite bad with my food budget atm, but as spending this week on my own part from friend coming round on Thursday night, I should be ok'ish I think... Though next sunday we have a match in Exeter and have to pay petrol money on the day...Blah, frustrating indeed.

Well, BF is on his skiing holiday and just finished first day's lessons, still time for practise though.I'm so jealous, haven't been skiing since 2005,as with most things...

Well, the bed base has been bought. It's only a 2 draw one, but supposedly loads of space (see when I get it) and it's been delivered tonight! I'm sure it'll be fine and at least it's (fingers crossed) here tonight.
