So projected pay back is now looking at 13 months to be personally and jointly debt free. That is based on two figures now from Martins new budget sheet and the snowball- Also on minimum payback and i have including my hols( no pay )- and i haven't taken into account the extra dosh am hopefully getting from work related stuff- marking, and 1:1 tuition.
Final figures today stand at £13,776. Just got figures off credit expert for outstanding amounts. I am not including a secured loan taken out on Mortgage as that is with the Mortgage payment and i can sort out later. So although figures on first page reflect that- this reflects current stuff if that makes sense.
Wow..:)
Now to sort out Mr.B
Plus 3 days no spends. Good times.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I too would have been spitting feathers, if my OH had signed for a car without discussing it with me. I feel very sorry for you. I am blessed with an OH who just doesn't spend money at all really, he goes to work and comes home, no side trips to the bookies, or the shops or the pub. I am very very lucky.
Of the two of us i was probably the one more likely to have got into debt. But I met him just before I really had any access to it...so was saved LOL
Great news on the debt free front, it is nice to know that there is a maximum time you will be in debt for.
I take it though that you will be debt free in 13 mnths, but mr bob will still be dodo ing on and in debt still?
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

I talked about it on one of my other diaries Chev, my hatred of the car is err..well known:rolleyes:
I must admit he got into a debt spiral really through a mixture of things-tax, not saved for, expenses on credit card - he received monies for this but preferred to not pay it off the card. He had three bank accounts, two business credit cards...Then buying a car.
Our savings were taken to pay off his business account and credit card:o All in one day-whoosh gone!
So that is the plan anyway- to pay off the extra debt taken on and then tackle his.Which also have reduced by then with regular payments. Just got to get him to stick to a budget and i know he is frightened and depressed about it all.He is rubbish at negotiating and I think the problem is also his job, he may lose it if stuff is registered against him and that is also some of the reason he has used cards..he is not very good at tarting or paying off, or playing hard ball with them. Dodo mode is definately full on.
Oh and to cap it all we have a NR mortgage and am in the bad bank as it were now:cool:
Have never missed a payment and only taken one mortgage holiday when DD1 got married. I used to overpay as well and thought that would go in our favour. Oh well, we will have to live with it as we are just about in equity. The Mortgage goes back onto repayment in March so that was also probably one of the reasons..At least more will be coming off the capital..13 years left on it. So when debts are gone i can start making over payments again.
It's a plan at the moment.
I would put my SOA up but i know i have pared it to the bone, but may shave it further yet.. checked everything i can. We are on frugal emergency rations until further notice. So at least this weather is good for something NSD:T

I have decided to pay off an extra £100 a month this year off the capital- it may sound silly but i will earn that from tuition and it will make me feel better. I just want to catch up.We were on a fixed until last June, we pay less on the variable.
Corned beef hash can be made how you want it- tonight, boiled onion, carrots and potatoes- added corned beef and a bit of gravy powder at the end. Salt and pepper to taste..mmmmmBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi Bob, hope you and the family are keeping well.
Just finally managed to catch up with all the new diaries that people have started.
I'm still seeing all the plans that you are putting in place to get rid of the debt. You mentioned that Mr B and yourself had a heart to heart earlier - is there any progress on getting him on the DFW wagon or is he still burying his head from it and hoping you sort it all?
It's good to see that you are still making progress on the debtbusting, but i hope you are keeping a bit aside to pamper yourself and small emergencies. Don't want you relying solely on us for your thrills (and stop thinking about that turnip!!)After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0

But George- you are my [STRIKE]tHrill[/STRIKE];):rotfl: I am not a pampering kind of girl really:o I like a good book, thrillers preferably, i also like walking..so that about covers it.
I have budgeted for car emergencies, insurance for boiler and a small pot for household stuff. I won't overpay mortgage until i get extra dosh and only for the length of time i am earning that- but it will depend on how things are at the time.
Mr.B wise, well he is talking more-and is on a budget. He did stupidly not realise that online banking shows up spends- so i caught him out last month.;)
I have told him, cash, cash , cash- card at home- budget, budget, budget...i think he may have got the message..Oh and i throw in how much i admire a man who stands up to be counted when it comes to these things. I did mention Pierce Brosnan in the same breath( maybe that bit was a bad idea;))
He has a spends diary- which he has not filled in yet...do you think i should make him strip nikkid and empty his pockets for receipts?:rotfl:
Err on second thoughts nope-may bring up my lovely tea:D:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Bob - if you strip him nekkid he may 'bring up' something else ! :rotfl:Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
