    hi all

was a very long way from being a night owl last night - asleep on the sofa by 10:30 - and missed all the snow falling; we've got 5 inches of trouble

it was well forecasted though so I have got plenty of work lined up to do at home.

all the kids will be at home today, although one school only just declared . This may impact my productivity - but not in the snowman department

thanks for the support on my challenge thread Bob - hope it quietens down for a bit - some scary people out there

Your local BBC site is good for telling you what services and schools are down Mark. In our area some libraries are shut too...no free books:o

He used to have a company car- then went self employed and nicked my car for the purpose of that...and had the cheek to arrange a deal for trade in for this car.:o:o(this was at my gran's 90th party- he was test driving for the day and when he took it back he signed) I did say plenty believe me, but it was one of those once signed no getting out of- the pillock! Now he is back on the cards he has struggled ever since.
I wish i had found this site earlier i can tell you as i pinpoint that moment as the *DODO* moment....doomed as:rotfl:

Exactly the same problem for my DH. In fact at the weekend he stopped taking calls off the radio because people expect to be picked up from their door and sometimes it is just impossible. At least when picking up from a rank if you can't make it up their street they have the opportunity to say that's ok I can walk from here. Our own street has never been gritted and I have slid three times now.

  • Just cancelled my credit expert, so that is a saving. Looking to see what else i can get rid of now.

The problem with these companies, is that they require a credit card - to make payment and the one it is on is now charging interest so i ain't paying interest on that. And i no longer get quidco cashback on it either so isn't worth it.
