Another NSD for me. Was going to make shepherds pie for dinner but DH was called into work so will do that tomorrow. Instead I had baked beans, grilled bacon and had some leftover mash from dinner yesterday which I made into a pattie and fried.0

Had to buy fresh milk and some mince for dinner for the kids spag bol tonight (I was taken out for a meal but came home unwell,so dissapointed
) I also bought some lamb chops for my ex as he is doing the school run for me until I start to sleep better, they were a fiver (for 6 large ones)but I feel better if I cook him a meal occasionally to repay him a little-will freeze four of them for another time.I also bought 4 boxes of peppermint tea (I have to drink several cups a day to help my digestion) as they were reduced by a third so very pleased with those. So I spent £11.25-more than I wanted, but the tea will lasst me weeks.)
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0 -

I did my first shop of the year yesterday and spent £70.85 on food and household items. So quite pleased with that as my budget is £70 and one of the household items was an impulse buy (super absorbent cloths). There's a lesson there.
Edit: Just realised that my budget is £75 not £70 so I'm on target.0 -
Another £4 on milk yesterday, on average we get through 11 x 2litres per week thanks to my oldest son . Pizza was on the menu for today but he has eaten the ham and cheese that i was going to use  so i need to either go and replace it or find something else for tonights meal. Still going by my total i have had a good week £22/£80
, and my new week starts tomorrow.

Hi everyone, did you all have a good Christmas and new year?
I tried to get to gte on but my internet kept ballsing up, posts disappearing  so my total last year for December was £190.00 inc three meals out and booze for over chrimbo. Nowhere near as bad as last yearso well pleased with myself.
Helen please could i change my budget from monthly to annual, i'm attempting to set myself a limit and do the challenge where you live on a certain amount for a year. So i'm setting my grocery budget for £2000 for the year so its about £166.67 per month for a family of four.
So far this year spent £3.85 on pack lunch stuff, right off to wake DS1 up for school and attempt a meal plan for the week.0 -
Please can I join? Iwould like to set my monthly spend on groceries, cleaning products and toiletries to £360. This is a cautious start as ideally I would like this to be less but I have been spending about £125 a week, so this is a good start. As I improve, is it possible to reduce my target?
I have no idea how to do the signatures etc, but hopefully I will catch up with everyone soon.

It was going to be another NSD today, but I've noticed we've only got 2 toilet rolls left. With DDs we got through the stuff like water, so I'm off to nip and stock up. It's a lesson learned that I should be more organised with my shopping lists and check on household stuff as well as food!
On a positive note, I've just made a sausage pie with a pack of sausages, an onion,a green pepper, tins of toms and various herbs and a veg stock cube. It's all been topped with a yummy mustard mash and a dash of leftover pizza cheese. It's the first time I've made it, but DD1 has just if she can have some for breakfast :-) Hubby has trotted off to work with a slice of homemade quiche leftover from last night's tea and a ham & salami pasta rustled up with the half tin of mexican veg mix out the fridge. I've still not thrown any food away and we're on day 5. Hope you all have a great day. xStarting again and working towards our new df life!A very proud forces wife0 -
