Just come back from Sainsburys, spent £28.57 mainly on cheese, milk and eggs, also picked up crumpets, scotch pancakes & hot cross buns all greatly reduced and in the freezer. Should have milk & cheese until February.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

hi all, i bought my first 4 pints of cheap milk from lidl, nearly 50p off MrT, I need to try other places to shop as Tesco is far too much temptation for me, i cannot resist offers. But my problem with shops like Lidl is that their produce does not always say whether or not it is suitable for vegetarians, it would make life so much easier, not to mention cheaper, if they did. I know Aldi do this, but I live further away from them now. sigh...Content makes poor men rich; discontentment makes rich men poor. Benjamin Franklin0

I don't know how much a packet of rabbit hay is but a bale of hay (try local livery yards, animal feed suppliers) wighs about 15kgs and should cost about £5 tops
Lidl do cat food sachets that are really good quality at (approx) £2.59 for 12.
My brother did this once from a local farm... small ball £2, large bale £10 delivered...he was expecting a sort of square bale you could sit on. They delivered while he was out and it totally filled his front garden, you couldnt even get to the front door! With Sparkles! :happylove And Shiny Things!0 -
Small top-up shop today at Mr T's which should see us through until I do proper food shop near the end of the week. £14.80 spent today, which included toothpaste and loo rolls and other essentials. Risotto for dinner tonight, nice and easy and using up last of the frozen veg.
Have a good evening all xxxAll the coffee in Columbia won't make me a morning person...

I just do £10 per week per adult..since thats just me £40 would be lavish.. £30 is being a bit careful/sensible..but still plenty!
Theres lots of ways of doing it..how about just reducing slowly £5 a month or £10 a month from what your doing now?? - may be easier and less of a shock
Wow thats brilliant - let me know how you get on. I've put down £200 and its onl 2 adults. Guess it should be more like £80. Though im not too sure how much i actually spend on just groceries as most of the time other stuff is bought at the same time as groceries.MFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0 -

If you check out the "Food and Grocery" section, it has the weekly offers for loads of stores, including those you mentioned
whoopsies- where supermarkets mark down products in the evenings with yellow labels- can get amazing deals on eggs, fruit, veg and fruit this way..also packages bits..like pies, fresh bakery items etc.
Bit off topic..but hope that helpsOU Law studentMay Grocery challenge£30/ £110 -
