  • Hiya guys, would love to sign up again for another month :D

Just had a quick rummage through the freezer and have plenty of stuff in there for dinners for this week and some of next week too :)

Posted my totals for Dec on the Dec thread, and despite going over last month, I'm going to try reducing my budget to £350 for this month, for all food, toiletries and cleaning products, and dog food. I've already got the dog food for this month, have a ton of cleaning products to get through, and the same with toiletries really!

Can I just ask a quick question.... I found two ready made carbonara sauces dated from June, in the freezer, and was gonna use them.... they'll be ok won't they?

    Sx

  • Hello, as usual I have been conspicuously absent from this thread for a while and have therefore spent far more than I should have done. My aim for January is to spend less than £200 in a bid to try and recoup a bit of the overspend

Can I please have a budget of £400 for January for the 6 of us (and 2 guinea pigs!) That seems a bit tight, tbh (I include all toiletries/ food/ snacks bought out/ pet food and bedding/ cleaning stuff), but DH is still jobless and our income is now JSA of £64.30pw + child benefit, so we must cut down somewhere!

I'm in hospital at the end of the month for several days for an op which means I won't be able to drive for 6 weeks, won't be able to lift (hmm - still feeding my 7 month old....could be tricky!) etc - so need to make sure we have some easy food in the freezer for DH to feed everyone without resorting to the chipshop, which is his usual trick!:p

Best wishes for 2010, everyone! I'm off to catch up on the beginning of this thread now....:D
