Thats a nice wallet Florence, your sewing looks lovely and neat on the black. My machine is playing up a bit, it keeps missing a stitch so that it looks like a long stitch in amongst the normal stitches. I have changed the needle a couple of times but still doing it.

Havent got much done today sewing wise as had the grand kids round. I did order some of those woven name tags though to use as labels for my items and spent the morning hand sewing them on to the bits already in the shop. Very pleased with them.
I was trained as a machinist when I was sixteen years old. My industrial machine was playing up but I fiddled/laid hands on it and prayed......something worked as it is going okay at the moment. I do have other sewing machines but tend to use the industrial for speed. What sort of a machine have you got that is not stitching properly?

Its a Singer Confidence. I might take all the bits out tomorrow and give it a good clean out and see if that helps. Its a nuisance though as it is as I try to do some nice top stitching and it looks a mess. Looks even worse if its on zigzag and misses a stitch. Only been doing it the last week or so.

Thanks Hart. I might get a bit of time to have a look at the machine this afternoon, depends of whether anything else crops up.

has the tension been moved accidentally, is your needle bent has it got fluff or lint in the bottom bobbin holder.

are the feed dogs engaged properly its a slider on that machine i think isnt it maybe its not in place properly.

its a pain when things go wrong isnt it, i bought a universal ruffler foot and its been fine then tried to use it today and its not working properly:(
