    Happy birthday Mooloo xx

I have finished making some more bags for my shop. There are some photos on my blog. I have cut out some more to make up, was lucky with the fabrics for them, I used a pair of black cords for two (given to me by OH's dad) and some purple velvet for two others which I got in the charity shop yesterday for £1.99. I also bought a brown skirt to cut up for another bag for 25p.

Didnt feel like doing any sewing after I had cut out the bits so will have a go tomorrow now.

Thank You for your advice. I have downloaded the instructions for one which looks similar, i'm sure it will be of some use.

I am in awe of all your fab makes, hopefully one day i will be proud of something enough to post it here!

Hi all, I have been lurking on here for a while as I have been given a lovely sewing machine by my mum and have only used it to do a few basic repairs etc but would love to get a christmas project underway..But need some guidance as I am a complete dunce with these things :)

I was thinking of trying to make one of those advent calenders with the little pockets where you can put sweeties/nick nacks - has anyone made one of these before? Any advice where to start? Many thanks

Happy birthday to Mooloo! A bit late, I know!

Thank you to Alec, hart44 and anyone else who has welcomed me to this part of the forum, you are all such a friendly bunch. I think it will take me a while to get used to forum posting and reading, I hardly know where to start when I see all these new posts. Hopefully I will get around to posting some of my latest work. I love seeing everyone's pictures.

I did ruin a pair of shorts today, followed the pattern wrong and ended up with something completely unusable (although they were hilarious, I can laugh about it now!)

Pink Tiger :D Im so glad you got the instructions for your machine :D I tried to scan my manual but half the pages did not scan well and I was going to ask OH how to send it to you but he said it was too big for email and had to be put into a PDF file :o I have no idea (he is PC geek :rotfl:) but just checked to see you are ok so now I dont have to ask him :D
If you have any probs with the machine just ask :D

Love you dolls Florenceem :D I have a ragdoll pattern I brought last yaer to make my DGD one but as always time is against me :o

My Grandson is nine years old today. I had some 'Boy' fabric given to me by a friend who bought it in the US. I made him a wallet using a tutorial I found on this forum - thank you. What do you use to close these wallets that you make.....I thought about velcro but wasn't sure that I had some black. I also made him a Birthday card.

Thats a nice wallet Florence, your sewing looks lovely and neat on the black. My machine is playing up a bit, it keeps missing a stitch so that it looks like a long stitch in amongst the normal stitches. I have changed the needle a couple of times but still doing it.

Havent got much done today sewing wise as had the grand kids round. I did order some of those woven name tags though to use as labels for my items and spent the morning hand sewing them on to the bits already in the shop. Very pleased with them.
