    hi

i found it on the net as a download on my version it says use fleece or flannel on the outer fabric? and interlinning on the linning

did you use fleece or flannel or did you use anything at all

i am wondering if i should use interlinning on everything or leave the main fabric with nothing.

    what do you think

Hi hmo :D I didn't use interlining. I just cut out the outer fabric and lining fabric then ironed medium interfacing onto the outer fabric them put the bag together :D I get confused reading patterns so I did it my way lol.

Sorry Sharon :o I had just got in from work so have been on FB hope you get on with you bag ok :D Im going to try the tote next :o

thanks for your lovely comments. The braid pattern is really simple - would be a great first quilt as it is more forgiving that sewing blocks together. I actually the used the instructions on the Moda website. It was a free pattern. If you go back through my blog I think the link is there, otherwise I will go through my bookmarks tomorrow.

This is how the quilt folds into a pillow quillow_instr%283%29.JPG

except, I fold mine a bit differently to that. I have this excellent book51LBA-VUxaL._SL500_AA300_.jpgwhich was reccomended to me at my local quilt shop as an excellent book for beginners, despite the title. The lady recommended this book above all the others in her shop. It is really good, with really clear and simple instructions, good advice and plenty of short cuts :)

Wow the projects so far look amazing! I am getting so excited about starting my first bag! The material is lovely but I need to have a good read through the instructions so I know what I am doing. Think I might try making some toys too as I have a load of spare fabric.

I love making dolls.....the clothes can be made from out grown girl's dresses/skirts. I use a charity shop white cotton sheet for the bloomers.
