Hi everyone, some lovely makes on here now, I've lots of bag pattern, but very confused about which interfacing to use and where to buy from, can any of you help me out and give me some advice. The interfacing is frightening me more than making the bag!!!:(

hmo - I've had the Frilly Dilly bag pattern for ages, but no gathering foot, think might need it for that.

hart44 - love the xmas tree

    Hi Shannor :D

    Thank you :D

I mostly use medium interfacing in my bags and I buy it off ebay but I have noticed I can buy it from my local fabric shops so will be geting it there from now on :D

I have had some from this seller and he is fast :Dhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1m-Medium-weight-White-Iron-On-Fusible-Interfacing-/120732417055?pt=UK_Crafts_Fabric_Textiles_SM&hash=item1c1c367c1f

I always buy iron on as its so easy to use :D

I think the tree won't stand because I hand sewed the bottom and it sticks up a bit :o
The circle of card covered with some of the fabric sound a good idea, I will do that :T (don't know why I didn't think of it) :o :rotfl:too early in the day yet :rotfl:

Another option for the tree would be to get a slice of a branch, about 1" thick and approx 4" diametre to stick the tree to.

I have just had a play with my circular rotary cutter (at last :rotfl:) it is fab, it cut through the fabric like a hot knife through butter :D and I now have a perfect circle :D
I just have to work out the sizeing :rotfl:

Well have been away for the weekend so no sewing done. Have looked at some of the links, and added them to my favourites so i can spend some time looking at them at a later date.
I am too tired to sew tonight. Tomorrow I am off to the Hairdressers as I am fed up of my unkempt locks. I cannot really afford it, but then if I spend it on me, then i cannot spend it on fabric. Which is probably just as well, as I am drowning in the stuff!.
BF gave me two shirts of his that he was chucking out, one of them is purple and white checks, which will go brilliantly with the pillowcase I have, and turn the pair of them into the bunting for the shop.

I love all the lovely makes that your all doing. Its very inspiring to see everything.
Right I am off to google about Croatia, as BF mentioned that there were some cheap flights in that direction and I know nothing of the place.

I finally had a go at these scrappy wallets that everyone seems to be making!

I did a little practice cushion cover with a zip tonight so as soon as I can decide on the fabric I can make a new cover for my favourite cushion. I have slept with it for a few years and my hair has stained it!

Just bought the bag making bible! So excited about it coming so that I can finally go and get all my material. Going to go and get a pattern so that I can make a dress too, just need to decide what style to go for!
