Oh thank you for that reassurance! I am a novice sewer and I am keen to make lots of things and I figured that bags would always be of use. When it arrives I am going to buy lots of fabric :D

I finally had a go at these scrappy wallets that everyone seems to be making!
    http://misspixiecrafts.blogspot.com/2011/06/scrappy-wallet-and-purse.html

I did a little practice cushion cover with a zip tonight so as soon as I can decide on the fabric I can make a new cover for my favourite cushion. I have slept with it for a few years and my hair has stained it!

hi well done, thanks for the link ive just printed it off and made one, i will post a photo tomorrow.

first i sewed the pockets onto the wrong side of the linning and had to unpick both, then i forgot to sew my lines down the middle before i put my front on, so had to sew it after and the only hair bobble i had the right colour was thick.

but despite all that its turned out ok:)

Thanks hmo. Well my first one I forgot to sew on the bobble and had to unpick and making the purse I made the zip sandwich with two exterior pieces and had to unpick that. It is all part of the fun ;)

Well this is the pattern I am currently working on. I am making 3 for Christmas presents for my grandchildren. I have almost completed 2 but not the same design. Once these are complete I will start the third. I am also making a holdall to keep them in when not in use. I am also replacing the top dowel with a tension rod to fasten it in the door frame. Really enjoying making these, might put a few pockets on the inside to store puppets in!

RUcraft were selling it for £5 for an hour on friday with their 'Frantic Friday' thing!

I have to go out this morning to post all the stuff I sold on ebay this weekend and I am really in the sewing mood despite the heat. Hopefully I will have plenty of time when I get back and won't get distracted outside for hours playing with some tiny kittens..

    Hi Everyone

I'm a long time lurker! ***waves madly***

Love all your creations! I get a lot of inspiration from this thread : )

I just wondered if anyone had any problems with Prints to Polka Dots (www.printstopolkadots.co.uk) I ordered from them 09/06 and the order has still not been dispatched and the company won't respond to my emails!! I'm sure I read about the site on this thread so I thought you might have some info, I've never ordered from them before so I'm not sure if this is usual from them!

    Thanks in advance!
