Oh my, you are all in a sorry state! I hope everyone who's off it, is feeling better soon.

Rufus, on Folksy if you go to 'support' and type in 'blog badges' it has a link for putting a Folksy logo on your blog that will go straight to your Folksy shop when anyone clicks on it.

Hi Wendym :D and yes you can come in if you stay fit :rotfl: as we need more pics to look at and some of us are not much cop at the mo (well Im not :o)
I have managed to sew the press studs onto 2 glasses cases I made ages ago and started to un-pick a valance sheet, I brought it in a CS and someone had sewn part of the frill bit :( I think it must have been too long for them. I have been meaning to do it for ages as it's a very pretty cream with little flowers :D and the more fabric I can get out of it the better :D

Hope everyone is feeling better and getting stronger, just 4 more days and counting for me :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Hello, me again, novice questions coming up. I want to make this tissue holder that someone linked to recently http://www.skiptomylou.org/2008/09/02/3383/ it looks like thick material - can anyone tell me what this type of material is called? Also any suggestions of where I might get some will save me time searching ;)

hi i dont know what that fabric is but ive made loads of them in various fabric, lots of cottons and even curtain/bag fabric, they are easy to do

I wanted to show you these tissues http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/English-Country-Tissues-Pretty-Pink-/380320266689?pt=Women_s_Accessories_UK&hash=item588cdab9c1

If you are making the tissue covers for gifts or to sell at craft fairs I think they are fun to add :D
I have had a few bits of this seller and she is lovely and fast :D

thank you and you, ive managed to cut out all the bits for the bag for my dd, ive ironed on interfacing onto the sequin fabric but ive run out now so need to buy some more tomorrow to do the linings.

i wanted to try and watch some of the sewing shows i recorded from create and craft the other night but dh is watching football, i usually watch them late at night when they are both in bed, but my arm is aching so i may just go to bed now.

Sorry there are so many of you not feeling 100%.

I managed to get into town today and did a trawl of the CSs. Managed to buy a pair of lined curtains 50x72 and a pair of pillowcases to use for my star quilt. I finished another block and have one 2/3rds finished. Will find the camera out once I have completed the block and let you see them.

Still struggling with my seam allowance but not too bad. The proof will be when I come to put it together.

Off to have tea now - being really healthly. KFC tonight, had Chinese last night and likely to have Indian tomorrow night. We are in the middle of having our kitchen re-fitted.
