Hi
I'm after a sewing machine and have narrowed the search to Janome. The models are XL601 and 6125QC. Does anyone own one of these or can someone give advice on them.

Good luck spasguidedogs I too am looking for a new machine and I am also looking at Janome. My budget keeps changing as I see new goodies that I want my machine to have, upper lower case letters etc. I am looking at spending around £500 at the moment so any suggestions would be great. I would like to be able to quilt, newbt, and I do craft sewing, curtains, clothes etc. Purely domestic/grandma use.

Mooloo, may I ask where you got your labels from? Were they very expensive and did you have to order lots of them?
Would be very interested in a linky if you would be so kind :)

I will go and have a look for the information. Just got in from two trips to town! I am exhausted.

I got them from Fleabay originally, then direct from the lady.
its Julie@carelabels.co.uk
The prices last year mind you were.
Price:
250 @ £22
500 @ £34
1000 @ £54

Hope that is of any help.

i bought some embroidered sewing labels last year, cannot remember how much but not very expensive.

i found them through googleing, small quantity sewing labels something like that.

you could choose a little logo and type in your own wording and font and colour, pay online and they send them to you in about a week from memory

I feel that I might *need* to get me some labels. After all, I'm sure to make more things over the next million years aren't I? I'm only 33 so hopefully won't be dead too soon so might actually get through them all before I do shuffle the mortal coil. Hmmmm, will see. I have 5 cushions I've made and DD's skirt so that's 6 labels I would use. I might get DH on the case with a logo and something to say on them.
The ones I was looking at on etsy the other day, I felt I would have to get the fold over ones because the others can have a tendency to be scratchy.
Am I getting carried away? Me? No!

Ok, you've just pushed me into buying the kit from ebay to make some labels. DH is a designer and printer of stuff so I'll get him to do all the faffy stuff one day and he can print it out on his Mums printer for me. I can then add labels to my makes :D < that's me that is!
