Ahh I am making a jack rabbit softie at the moment but the instructions have got me all confused so I thought someone here might be able to figure it out.

It says to pin the bottom piece to the base of the back, so it would be like adding an extra piece to the back piece, to make it more shaped when you sew it to the front. If you folded the botton in half (point to point) and matched the centre line to the centre of the back, and then the shape will match the rounded base of the back. Does that make sense?
It may make sense when you do it.
Cheers

I would think that it would depend on your fabrics, and if your washing them. If you cut them out with Pinking shears, then they are not likely to fray, certainly for quite some time.
How about if you're doing applique? I don't like the blanket stitch that some put round the edge, so any ideas how best to stop the fabric fraying? I think it might look weird cut with the pinking shears0 -
I finished Jack Rabbit
I never did add the bum and I had to change the legs because I was getting so annoyed with them but he turned out alright and is just the right size for cuddling. Shame I have to give him away on the 4th May
