Polkadot, I made a cosy toe/liner for the pram. It's just a banket with holes cut in for the straps to pull through. 2 for the arm straps and one for the crotch. Most things have the straps about the same place so you don't have to be exact.
Thanks for that-I've been wondering about the holes for straps-never thought to use the buggy.DH and I were talking about the straps as you cant really take them out to thread the straps-so I was thinking of another adaption, cutting the hole through from the edge of the fabric where the elastic is and making a drawstring effect to tie it to avoid tugging.

I'm going to just use the leftover cotton I have from my green and blue bag to make it to start out-at the moment he's "just in the trolley chair" so I dont think I'll bother with lining for this go.Once I've been shopping with him I can see what needs changing. He's driving me mad today...clingy clingy clingy (I suppose at least DH is here to see-he's been saying he'll take the boys over work anyday, think he's ready to go back to work now and he's only been home two days;))

Prudent, Im sure Ive heard lots of people at times on this thread say that babies really like taggie blankets so you could maybe try one of those? Otherwise what about a cushion done in baby colours with applique of the babys name on it? Cushion covers are really simple and you could just cut and applique the babys name and maybe add some little star buttons or applique stars or something (or the babys date of birth in smaller applique on the back?)

Hart, that pig is as cute as cute can be!!! Love it! Remember and post a piccie if you make it (i have toy eyes in the house if you need a set rather than buying a whole pack (the ones I used for my cat and bunny). Let me know. ;)

I have been very inspired by this thread and have now tried a few very simple things (bunting and Lavendar hearts). My sister has just had a baby boy and I would like to make something for him. Any ideas? I would like it to be very simple.

Quite a few people on this thread near the very beginning have made "taggy blankets".

    some ideas here
I have made this for a frined & was fairly straight forward
Some Boy themed tutorials here but there are also other tutorials on this blog for soimple trousers and bibs.

maybe if it was an hour glass shape, it would slide between the straps???

and apologies for always having numerous posts in a row, but I tend to find the post I read last, then continue from there, replying to things as I read them. I have tried catching-up first but then I can never find the posts that I want to reply to lol! (Or sometimes- can be bothered)

Have still not sussed out how to reply to more than one post at a time!

Thanks for the hourglass tip-will keep it in mind.As you see the post you want to quote-hit the little icon at the bottom right of the message with the 2 speechbubbles...do that for all the posts you want to quote and when you're done hit the reply button as usual.Your textbox will appear as normal with all your quotes in the quote marks as usual, jut type each of your replys between each quote and then "submit reply"

I only figured it out recently. :o

Hit the multi quote button on all the posts that you want to reply to (the pink and orange speech bubbles) then hit the quote button on the last post then insert your reponses underneath each one.

Ooops, sorry polkadot, just realised you have already responded. Doh!!!
