    Morning everyone

I finished my bag yesterday that I was making with the Cath Kidston fabric.

I have a shopping bag cut out now to make up using the green fabric with the roses on. I might do another shoulder bag as well, like a flatter one with a pocket on the side.

    Hi everyone :D

I love your bag Rufus :T I love Cath Kidston fabric and one day will treat myself to some from her website.

I made another Amelie bag this weekend (in-between getting burnt gardening :o)
This is the one that gave me grief :rotfl:

This is the front, I love this Michael Miller fabric (Ebay ) and the pockets are Laura Ashley :D

frenchpostbag5.jpg?t=1302518795The back, this time I managed the zip pocket with ease :D I have loads of the cream fabric I used for the lining so the only real expence was the Mickael Miller fabric for this bag.

These are both sooooo lovely - well done xx

I have only visited this thread sporadically for a couple of weeks - work has been manic and have been stressed to hell and back:p It wasn't unexpected and it will calm down soon so am really looking at getting my sewing sorted.

The girls have been watching 'Bambi' and now want me to make 'girl rabbit and boy rabbit' costumes so this is my first project this weekend coming - have been to Boyes and got Grey, White and Pink fur fabric - am now googling patterns so will let you know how we get on! They keep bringing me my sewing box and asking me to make some outfits bless!

All your makes are lovely XXX

    Good morning everyone :D

Rufus :) you have been busy :D. I love new bag, I could do with one like that :D

Pennib :) your sausage dog is adorable :T I love his harness and lead :D

I realy should put my fear of making clothes to one side and make something for myself as I find it hard to get clothes to fit me right :o Im 5ft size 10-12 but sometimes a 10 is tight but 12 is baggy. If I could make my own it might just fit (but then again Im not sure :rotfl:)
Hope to pop in through the day :D
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Hi Georgia - I wanted to get them done yesterday as OH started his night shift last night so now he will be asleep upstairs all week during the day so I wont be able to sew up there. I wouldnt have finsihed the little bag off if he had been in last night as we would have been watching tv together but as he was at work I decided to stay up and get on with it.

Just quickly popping in to say I sewed up my first square last night. It is way short of the 12.5" it should be so my seams are too large obviously. Can anyone offer any quick tips for ensuring a 1/4" seam when the machine doesn't have a marking on it? I feel I may have to go the route of taping it up to stop myself going over.
I have to do lots of house work today and photobucket's down so it will probably be this evening before I am able to get back on here to catch up. Until then, enjoy :)

Kaz I had the same problem when I did my 1st quilt but I have brought this off ebay so my seams are always the same without me having to mark my squares :D

Thanks for that hart44 :) annoyingly, I had already measured my foot and it is 1/4" I might be able to get around this by moving the needle to the right or something. When I've finished my housework I'll have a look, just having a coffee break now ;)

I'm obviously having a stupid day, but those lines seem to be the opposite way from the way I stitch :o

I know-Im like a bus...which is rather funny as that's what's kept me away.I've been lurking but had no makes (there have been some lovely ones).Ive been "fighting" the big guns at TFL as a disabled mum who's struggling to get an older kid to school because of an infant in a buggy.

Anyway-yesterday I took LO shopping and his white sleepsuit came home black from lying in the trolley seat...so Id like to make one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cosy-Shopper-Trolley-Baby-Seat-Cover-Blanket-Camouflage-/190418557618?pt=UK_Baby_CarSeats_EH&hash=item2c55d49ab2
Ive googled and I can find patterns for the seat for bigger kids-but none for these.Has anyone else done one of these?
