    Morning everyone

I finished my bag yesterday that I was making with the Cath Kidston fabric.

There are some more photos on my blog. It was not too bad to make up but I think if I had had a proper pattern to follow it would have been easier as I wasn't too sure of how to assemble it in the right order making hard work of some of it which I am sure there would have been an easier way.

I have a shopping bag cut out now to make up using the green fabric with the roses on. I might do another shoulder bag as well, like a flatter one with a pocket on the side.

Love the bag! I am into bags big time!
I am taking my sewing machine and a carrier bag full of fabric and bits and pieces, so that when DGD is asleep I can play around if I feel like it!
I get creative when i am on holiday, and get frustrated if I cant do anything. (However sometimes I have taken stuff and never touched it, but at least I have it if I want it!).
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

    Hi everyone :D

I love your bag Rufus :T I love Cath Kidston fabric and one day will treat myself to some from her website.

I made another Amelie bag this weekend (in-between getting burnt gardening :o)
This is the one that gave me grief :rotfl:

This is the front, I love this Michael Miller fabric (Ebay ) and the pockets are Laura Ashley :D

frenchpostbag5.jpg?t=1302518795The back, this time I managed the zip pocket with ease :D I have loads of the cream fabric I used for the lining so the only real expence was the Mickael Miller fabric for this bag.
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

The Amelie bag is gorgeous - is the pattern available online or to buy?

I have some of that Michael Miller fabric on order and can't wait for it to arrive now! :)

Great bag rufus. Looking at the other photos on your blog there is so much detail to it; I love the pockets under the flap.
And how lucky are you to have a son who buys you fabric?!
    Happy belated birthday!

Hart your bag is gorgeous too, I absolutely love the fabrics. How frustrating to think you'd done it wrong when you hadn't!

    Hi annie :D
I brought the pattern from this blog site. I paid for the 2 bags at $19 (converted to £11.59 through Paypal).
You get 2 bag patterns and very easy to read instructions with pic's + she gives instructions and pattern for the small Amelie bags with instructions for a very big bag, well worth the money :D
Also if you sign up for her newsletters you get quilting patterns for free every month :D

Im going to do the Belle bag next :D

Hart I love your bag, that fabric is lovely. I like Michael Miller fabrics too.

I have sewn up my other bag this morning, its just a shopping sort of bag bu it matches the shoulder bag. I have plenty of fabric left over to make some more, not sure what kind to make out of it now. Heres a photo of the shopping bag.

He's gorgeous Pennib, so cute. I can imagine what a pain he was to make, I had a go at making sock monkeys a few years ago. I didnt have my sewing machine back then so had to sew them all by hand.

I made another bag this afternoon, this time a little hand bag. Thought it would be nice if we go out of an evening in the summer months. I found some videos on You Tube, there is a link to one of the videos on my blog and a photo of the inside of the bag.
