Ive come on to ask if anyone has done this bag? http://www.allaboutyou.com/craft/Recycle-Clothes-Creative-Idea-Bag/v1

Im trying to do the patern but I can't see the measurement for the base and it wont go any bigger (note to self get an eye test :rotfl:)

it looks like width 10cm and length 35cm.

I use firefox and have an app that allows you to zoom in. It is really easy to use. I zoomed in at 200% to read the measurements but the picture quality was poor so the measurements were distorted, but I am sure that they are correct.

Dh tells me I am getting old as I always have to zoom in lol

Welcome jamsandwich :D I so pleased you have joined this group of fabric addicts :rotfl:

Mooloo :D Im so pleased your bags sold, you must be very happy :D

ISOM :D your sqaures are coming on great, just keep going :) I prefer mine to be a little out, its part of the handmade look :D

I have used the fusable fleece in my frame purses, it just gives it a nice bit of padding without bulk and you can iron it straight on the fabric. Most of the time I just use bog standard 4oz wadding from Ebay for my quilts as I have only made them for myself as a topper for my bed (I get too cold at night lol) and on the back of the sofa.

I hadn't heard of it until I met my OH 6 years ago, I lived in King's Lynn, Norfolk then but it's just like Downham Market that is near KL. A real little market town :D

Thank you Cuddles :D Im going to give it a go after tea, my OH is out tonight, so peace :rotfl:

Oh no! I am so disappointed but I can't justify a trip to Belper just for baskets. I will have to keep an eye out in the small indi shops around here.

Had a look...it isn't very clear is it! I agree, the base seems to be 10 x 35 cm. Looks like a fun bag to make!!

Love your baskets....ought to have a look round my local shops for Easter-type stuff soon...it's creeping up on us fast!!!

Those are cute little baskets. Love the name Belper wonder what it means.

I have to say a BIG thank you to Tamster telling me about hand quilting thread. It has saved a lot of frustration/knots and tangles cos I would have used just ordinary cotton thread. It's amazing how quilting turns a large piece of material into a proper quilt! I've only done a little bit and can see the transformation already. Sorry couldn't get a closer photo.

forgot to add that I will be doing the sash strips as well after the squares. There is another picture on my blog.
