The last one I made using a lovely soft throw although it was a pain to see the stitches.

Lellypants - I dont know why but I have never thought about going to IKEA for fabric - I work really close to there so I could just pop over in my lunchtime - thanks for the idea.
Stardrops, thanks for your kind words, my DH is not too happy that our bedroom is becoming quite girly, but I have never had a nice girly romantic bedroom so he will just have to live with it!
Yippee, that book is brilliant I just bought one (£6 Amazon) and am drooling over it every day, i'm gonna start small I think with the makeup bag then progress to angels and animals, I'm the same as you not sure what fabric to use for the animals, angels? Anyone know? You can stand there and agonize........

Kandipandi I love your monkey and your heart. I've used linen fabric for the figures and my angel - had some in and got a different shade from a seller on ebay - will look for the seller's name.
Princesspoppypop - your lamb is gorgeous, am eyeing up an old baby towel at the moment!!
Lellypants- your hare is great too. Well done!

Thanks girls for all the "egg" ideas!
Alimarcle - I think the ones you said you found at Morrisons are more what I am looking for. I want a large egg (the size you would buy a normal easter egg in a box) that opens up into 2 half shells so I can put something inside.
I bought a beautifull paper mache one years ago that had glazed pictures all over it and opened up into 2. (it had a ridge all the way around so when you pressed the 2 together it stayed fastened - like a box & lid)
I bought a little silver antique bracelet and wrapped and popped it inside as an Easter Gift for my little niece.
Hi Moonpenny, have just received the spring catalogue from Panduro today and on the last page are cardboard eggs like the ones you're looking for. Will see if I can find them online and post the link.
