Not sure if this is how you meant it to look or not xx
Hmm, ok, that may work better. I had just attached all of the layers to the waistband so the longest layer is the full length of the skirt.
Ok, so how would I do the gathers? Should I do a running stitch all the way round, pull it in and then sew on to the underskirt?0 -
Yeah I made baby booties
I used the following pattern; http://www.heatherbaileydesign.com/BittyBooties.pdf although I think I made my life harder by using material instead of felt as it mean I had to double it.0 -

Yes thats how the lady was showing customer how to do it. You could always try first with some other fabric like and old sheet or something to see if it would work?
May be if you wait until tomorrow some others might be on who would know a better way, Rufus xx0 -
Why can't I post pictures today? I'm copying the URL from Flickr and putting it into the postcard-type space but it's just showing the red cross. And making me cross0

Made a doorstop today. Nothing fancy but does the job nicely. x
Nice booties laura! x
Nykied, as you have a blog you should just put it on there (even if its a draft post) then copy image URL from it and paste. x0 -
Until someone can explain to a dingus like me how to post pictures again, the bag I've made is on my blog :j0

Thanks, its oilcloth (bit of a bu*ger to sew but Im getting more used to it nowadays.)
Re photos, Just right mouse click on your photo on your blog (which Ive just looked at and your bag is great!) choose copy image URL, open the postcard link on here and paste. That will work. You dont need flickr etc if you have a blog. Much easier. x0 -
Ah, there it is! The light's a bit rubbish for taking a photo, but hey! I love it but I think it's a bit big for me. I think I'm going to try the Buttercup bag next.
Thanks for your comment on my blog - I'd comment back but I don't think it works like that on a blog, does it?0 -
