Fantastic quilts Tamster - well done

Hart - glad the op went OK. My Mum has CTS after breaking her wrist 2 years ago, but at 93 doesn't want the operation, which is understandable. Will be interested to hear how it goes with you.

Tamster your quilts are totally gorgeous! Love them.

A quilt is on my list of makes ....when I've plucked up the courage :rotfl:
  • thanks ladies - and you would never believe that I used exactly all the same fabrics for both (except the blue border)

Quilting is pretty easy (and highly addictive lol!)
  • I should of said patchworking is pretty easy - the quilting process actually took much longer to do than the patchwork! (all the quilt tops were made in September!)

Tamster, wonderful quilts and cushions!! How did you do the quilting stitching...freehand (with machine), with or without a pattern, or have you a fantoosh machine that does it all for you (I wish!?? Do you stitch with the front or the back on top???

I am yet to investigate this process, still collecting material to make my first ever patchwork...might try a cushion cover first though!! :D

Just Freegled a collection of lining offcuts from a lady who makes curtains. I have cheekily asked her if she ever has bits of curtain material left over, could she send them my way...and she has agreed!! So another bag of bits due to head my way sometime soon!!! :j

I will use the linings bits to back some patchwork stuff, especially cushion covers, where a pretty backing isn't needed for the insides.

Right, off to get tea sorted...fresh mackerel tonight...yummmm!
