Ooh do tell - my parents live in Southport, so I'd love to know which one it was. My mum is very keen on crafts too, and this might be one she hasn't been to.0 -

Hi ladies, sorry not posted for a while but I have been reading - I've not made anything yet but finally had chance to get some free swatches from Cath Kidston so wanting to have a go at making a case for my mobile - wondering if anyone knows where I could get a template - tried googling it but nothing came up?? I know one of the girls made one a few pages back - without a template - but as it is the first time of trying to make anything I thought I could really do with proper instructions (bit thick like that!!). Thanks in advance x
if you dont find what you waant, i would measure the height and the width and add on about 1/2 inch for each side and each end
ad the depth onto the width
(so if its 4 inch in height cut the fabric at 5inch)
cut 2 pieces from fabric and two from ining if you are going to line it.
then sew using a 1/4 inch seem
as you have added 1/2 inch and only sewing with a 1/4 inch seam you should have a bit of room to spare.
ive just made a kindle case for my sil the same way i got the sizes from the net, made it and sent it to her and she says it fits.0 -
HMO - Ive just been browsing your blog - lovely makes by the way! Im not sure how to post a comment/question on your blog, so thought id come back here to ask....its regards to your roman blinds, which again are lovely, did you use a kit or buy the bits and bobs yourself? I have made a roman blind, this time last year, but a very basic one, didnt use rods for the folds, just sewed accross each fold, and it works, just bit flimsy. But its only for my computer/sewing room, and was only a temporary measure. I made it from the Ikea one I had in there. It was practically see through, the white ones! So I used all the bits in it, the string and the wood etc. Now, id like to create a much nicer one, and also would love to a nice one for my bathroom.
