23rd spiral, thankyou. i'm gonnna try and do some in a bit. but for some reason today i've woken up more tired than i went to bed, so i need to not fall alseep while i'm sewing it. as it is really soft ans snuggly.,lol.

Thought I would sew/paint some more teabag tissue pictures/cards. (they are brighter in real life) More pictures on my homepage.
With the weather being what it is had to go and bump up food supplies but more importantly craft things. Cant have me snowed in with no crafting to do :D

  • They're great pennib!

I've been making myself a cross body bag out of some curtains I used to have. It's got a zip up pocket in the middle, dividing the inside into two sections. I've not done a zipped pocket before but it was really easy. It fastens with a magnetic clasp.

I like that bag. Which pattern did you use? I'm sure I used to have some material just like your lining material!

Georgiabay; That is so clever you wouldn't know that it was made from curtains.
Did you see the 'Ration book Britain' programme
where clothing was made from all sorts. They challenged students to make some wearable items out of re-cycled cloth.
As in the war they were only allowed so many buttons and pockets etc. They come up with some great things
One dress being made out of a sheet!

Chatty; Glad that you put your mums cushions on here I think they are lovely.
  • I was wondering if anyone could help me,

I have started using my sewing machine again... and i am in the middle of making some draught excluder rolls... I am using the inners of an old duvet, but as i am stuffing the draught excluder, its getting a 'bumpy' look was just wondering if there was a way of filling it without getting the bumps:rotfl:

I am using an old wool blanket

  • Chatty 123, your cushion is very pretty. I'm sure your mum will love it.

Justamum, I used this tutorial for my bag

The lining fabric is also from curtains I used to have.
