Hello all - haven't been on here in a while what with one thing and another ... a friend has asked me if I can make a knitting bag for her young niece ... anyone know of a tutorial?? I'm thinking I could adapt a crayon roll as a needle roll too...

Have tried searching the thread but all I've come up with is this that Wam posted a few months ago - but the instructions aren't exactly exhaustive and I don't think she had much luck either!

    Any help much appreciated! :)

  • That looks fine to me, but with a matching needle roll, it would be fantastic, I use a bag similar to that one, but I don't have anything to prevent the needles sticking out and poking me.
    xx
  • Hmm... gotta feeling that once she made the bag it was almost impossible for her to use it. Not sure if that was due to her workmanship or the pattern

You could always make a casing and then use wide cord for the handles.

Glad to see you are back & keeping busy

My 4th sewing project, got the instructions form 'Stray Sock Pattern Book'. He hasn't got a name yet but I'm sure my daughter will think of one soon!

  • Amy, that is so cute. I love the little top knot.

The needle rolls are really handy. I've never seen needles like the ones in your roll Nuttywoman.

I bought the needles from Aldi a couple of years ago, only cost about £4.99 :D
