Re Sewing boxes..I have a cheap pine one I got new years ago, falling to bits now...must mend it!
Also have a lovely old one, much bigger, MIL gave it to me. She inherited it from a good friend who died at 101!!! There is loads of stuff in it, must sort it out. It is covered with pile of material waiting to be made into cushion covers and curtains atm:o:o
Really need to get the sewing machine out...been so busy knitting and crafting lately....soon, I promise, soon!

Try Abakhan they sell fabric by weight and length, on Internet some really weird stuff if required . They have shops on Merseyside ,Hanley Stoke on Trent and a huge complex at Mostyn in North Wales ,it is well worth a day there and you will need a day to see everything0

I have tried to search on the forums but struggling a bit, can anyone point me in the right direction for a pattern to make a bag big enough to put some pamper items eg a scarf, some homemade slippers, sweets etc I did see some lovely ones a few days ago when reading the site and cant find them any where now. There was 2 in the picture and it looked like the handle was in one piece with the body of the bag, but any simple bag pattern will do as I am only a beginner.
Thanks in advance for any help.0 -
