Hi Ladies,
Whilst blog hopping this afternoon, I came across this tutorial for a Puppy Softy. I thought it was a sock creature, but is actually made from a t shirt.
Rather cute I think... http://mummushkastexttiles.blogspot.com/2010/10/free-puppy-tutorial.html

finally my material has turned up to finishs my patchwork quilt ( purple of course) . i bought the fabric online and i was sent pink !!!! instead of the lush dark purple i buy from them.
I am so excited. and my sewing machine gets returned tomoz. Cost a total of £48.88 for the full service and parts it needed. i can't wait to try it out. gonna have to read the manual through again, as i really want to embrodery sew letters etc. bit daunting if im honest, but i'm sure i'll wing it somehow,lol.0 -

I WANT TO JOIN !!!! I make a vast amount of soft furnishings ,curtains ,roman blinds, loose covers etc i am also very mean! some ideas : if you have light weight curtains to put up and no poles 2 pieces of dowelling, 2 cup hooks ,car spray paint to suit and for finials metal pan scourers sounds awful looks great ! make tassels from small paper mache balls 3p each? glue embrodiery thread to the top and wind round after making under the ball. If you want to practice straight lines on a sewing machine (beginners) try a4 writing paper, just follow the lines. Cushions, if you havent mastered zips when cutting out the squares for the cushions make one an oblong i.e 1x16inx16in ,1x16 in x20ins cut the larger one in half turn under the raw edges and sew these 2 pieces to the other piece so that they overlap by an inch use this as the opening for the cushion. God this is hard work its much easier to show people ! Anyway you get my drift ,think outside the box you can save hundreds good luck !!!0

Hi guys,
I love the monkeys pennib and tellmeits friday. She grinch those hello kitty and betty boop pieces are amazing well done:T.
Things have been a bit manic this last week with a halloween party then my little girls birthday and party so i haven't had much chance for sewing. i did make 22 personilsed organza party bags with each childs name on for DD party.I put tissue paper in each and then the contents inside the tissue paper.
I have also made a pump bag for my aunties granddaughter
and a matching crayon roll
and i sewed some organza bags and added toppers to make some stocking filler bags of sweets.V 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550 -
hi every one, i just got back from lidl's and picked up the leaflet... from Monday 15th they've got their sewing stuff back in :j :j
i think the plastic tray sewing kits are great - especially the one with all the different rainbow of threads with pre-wound bobbins - not enough for massive projects but great when needing to match a thread colour in a hurry.:)
? has anyone bought the plastic sewing box before? it looks like a small tool box but at £6.99 it isnt cheap. so i'm wondering it its good quality?
 has anyone bought one of the sewing machines before?? from Silvercrest. it's £59.99 and has 33 stitches, backwards 4 step button hole. Which makes it on a level with my 15year old ELNA, i've less stitches but have a 2 step buttonhole...
i'm thinking it might be good for my mum... her machine is from the 1950s and whilst a great colour, that's about all that can be said... it doesnt even go backwards!! we've looked at the fancy embroidery ones and whilst she's intrigued she's also scared, and i need to be carefull i wouldnt be buying her one that i'd secretly like!!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23.
