I bought a metre of vilene double sided from local habadashary and it cost about £4.50 m, however, if you are doing applique a little does go along way.

Just checked my receipt & it was £2.50 m not £4.50! I bought something else at the same time that was the dearer price!

Great, I managed to find some canvas on Ebay, ordered it, and now she tells me she doesnt have any (well apart from small pieces)!!!
Maybe she was going to get it from Dunelm too ;)
A creative mess is better than tidy idleness :D
  • she grinch your Betty & Hello Kitty bits are AMAZING! Wish I had the patience! I thought that they must be die-cuts at first SOOOOO impressed that you cut them all out by hand (as well as stitched them), It is a shame that there is no "real" money in hand made items as you are so talented!

Pootle, I can't remember if I commented on your blog - but I love your little snowman.

And thanks to (i think) Rikki for your advice about taking up curtains from the top - I would never have thought to do it that way, but makes perfect sense to me now!

I am also very jealous of your kitchens!
  • I've just found this riendeer sock dog on Martha Stewarts site for all you sock monkey fans
    http://www.marthastewart.com/how-to/sock-dogs?backto=true&backtourl=/photogallery/christmas-sewing-projects#slide_1
I hope you have more patience that I have though as I found the site tediously slow.
How about making a sock angel or fairy for the Christmas tree?

    Hi Ladies,

Whilst blog hopping this afternoon, I came across this tutorial for a Puppy Softy. I thought it was a sock creature, but is actually made from a t shirt.

    Rather cute I think... http://mummushkastexttiles.blogspot.com/2010/10/free-puppy-tutorial.html
