My grandaughter got 6 barbies for her birthday last week lol. Can you get patterns to make clothes for them or is it a case of make it up as you go along.
If you search on 'Barbie Doll Sewing Patterns' you will get loads of links for making Barbie clothes

I have quite a few Barbie patterns AND download stuff on the Web. The real patterns are often expensive even on Ebay but every now and then there is a good deal for patterns on Etsy which is even worth the postage from the USA. I have just cut out a coat, a jacket, two dresses, two ball gowns, two skirts, two blouses and a pair of trousers. Just the small matter of making them now and making Barbie stuff is a real faff so it may take some time......................
  • My oh just said if people craft to save money why does it cost so much. He doesn't get it lol.

sounds exactly like my hubby lol

tonight I have been attempting to make a lined zipped make up bag - its first time ever I have put a zip in - my word - I hope it gets easier with practise!!! Anyway its done but I need to get the top corners of the bag a bit neater - so am hanging off sewing the lining up - my pals are coming tomorrow night - going to ask them how to rectify that bit - lol!

Look what I won on Ebay for the princely sum of £8.70. It isn't in the best condition but I think the cabinet alone is lovely. I have given it a clean but it needs taking apart and cleaning properly which will hopefully happen next weekend. It's a Singer 15 so needles, belts etc are readily available. I've already ordered a new belt for £8.45 but it shouldn't cost much more to get it looking and working lovely.
