My first taggie. Made from a childs duvet cover, fleece top and remenants of ribbon. Now I will be raiding the childrens clothes for fleece to back them, as I have about 16 different panels out of the front of the duvet cover, and still have a whole other side of the duvet for other childrens things.!!
lovely taggie, another add to list one for me lol:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0 -

This might help you for making a tiny dress. You could just alter the sizes to fit your sylvanian family stuff. I would just improvise rather than buying patterns. You can pretty much cut out 2 bits of fabric in the shape of a pair of trousers, capes, dress or skirts or whatever and just sew them right sides together then turn. Let us know how you get on!
Thanks so much PootleFlump Ive saved this and will attempt to do this
Also Thanks Rikki i will try to experiment really,Have you finished a ragdoll yet? Would love to attempt something like that but doubt i could actually do something as nice as that :rotfl:
Also does anyone know how i could make my little boy a replacement comfy blankie?? Not really wanting something like the taggies,Even though they are beautiful my little boy is a little to big for them
xx:j Here's to great things to come in 2015 :j
May everyone be lucky :T0 -
Oh I looked and was tempted, but the amount of fabric is not that much. Since Quilting has started to be popular fabric is being sold in Fat quarters. Which I struggle to get my head around!. they are small scraps of the fabric in the end!
I think I will have to bundle up fabrics that go together and sell them as patchwork pieces myself!!!
I bought 5 of the Fabric Rehab £2.00 budget bundles on their 2nd release on the recomendation of a friend and i couldnt have been happier. the photo below shows all 5 packs:
they are good quality 'modern designer' and i would not, and could not (!) afford to buy a whole meter of any of them as they all retail at £10+ per meter!
:money:So for £2.00 i got about a quarter of a meter in each bundle, which is 50p less than the price of a standard designer fat quarter, and also got lots of different prints not just a whole lot of one pattern
I'm told the bundle below includes Alexander Henry's Juicy Jungle, some japanese prints and some from Kokka. Now I dont really care about designer fabrics, and do usually prefer upcycled fabrics from clothes ect, but these arent the sort of print that usually turns up in charity shops!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Nice taggie Mooloo,
I made 2 last Thursday
I initially made one for my 4 month old Grandaughter but my 9 month old Grandson claimed it for himself,so had to crack on with a 2nd one.
I made mine from an Ikea Fleece Blanket which I am sure was only about £1.69 and I still have loads of it left.

Oo thats so tempting! Wonder if I could justify getting some to pad out my stuff? Would that be cheating.? Well I suppose not as I do have to buy threads and ribbons, and if I use them with something already from the recycling? :shhh:When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

this is what I was doing]rubbish really I know - esp if you look close but I just sat and played and played...
excuse me? this isn't rubbish! :rotfl: it's lovely! :T
Mooloo - it's really recycling anyway as these are only remnants! shame they'd sold out, there was about 8 or so a few hours ago when i had a look. i managed not to buy any though - instead i got a couple of mixed remnant bags from a nice old fashioned shop that dont do modern designer but do do good prices and customer care!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. I suppose there will be times when i will have to buy remenants etc more, if sales take off, but at the moment, its fun sourcing stuff from friends, family and the Charity Shops!. But I am a fabraholic definitely.!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
