Oh that's pretty jcr and yes that patchwork and wadding method would work great for playmats.

I made DD1 a playmat when I was pregnant with her - I brought a cotton cot panel from a local shop and backed it with strips of contrasting fabric, it's been washed and washed and washed and now she's 14 she has it on her computer chair in her bedroom, it's one of those things she won't part with.

Oh thanks to all my blog followers.....7 followers in one day - I feel almost popular :D

Love that beach bag Tina - I'd love to make more bags but I'm just not a bag person.....you'd think having 2 DD's would help but nope, they don't really do bags either.

I had a new pattern arrive this week - I can't remember who/where/when I saw the finished products (but I'm sure it was on here somewhere) but I just had to order it..it's a MaCalls, Cyntiha Rose Cat Family...they are so pretty and I aim to make them for everyone for Christmas (whether they want it or not!) I'm itching to get started but I've been sofa bound with sciatica for the past 2 days (hence having the time to start a blog)

I just had a look at that pattern on ebay and they are so gorgeous I might just have to give in the urge to splurge!:o

£8 including postage on ebay - anyone know of a cheaper source?
Oh dear, here we go again.

It really is a lovely pattern isn't it - I got mine from ebay for £8 too - I did look around but although the pattern was cheaper elsewhere the postage bumped it up.

Pooky, you've some lovely things on your blog.

jcr, your table runner has turned out really well.

Today I've been making a couple of seat covers for the car for when OH uses it to go to work in and gives someone a lift. I've used some leftover navy blue fabric from curtains I made years ago so not costing anything.

That is really clever. Love the fabric so would my daughter she loves everything snoopy, amazingly things seem hard to find. I'm going to scour the net now for material so I can make her some bags.
