Pooky I love the shirring dress Iv not had a got at that before, and would love to give it a try, do you have a pattern? Also loving the sewing bag cover, you should start a blog your makes are great!

Thanks :D The dress/top did turn out well for a first attempt. Don't have a pattern I'm afraid I just made it up as I went along. I roughly doubled the measurement I took from DDs chest to give it a good gather. Have just made my other DD one too but she needs straps putting on so will get those sorted tonight when she's home.

As for a blog, not a clue where to start but may look into it next week.

Can anyone give me any tips on what to stuff scented hearts with apart from lavender? One of my friends wants me to make her a few but she doesnt like the smell of lavender. Ive never made one before so not really too sure where to start. I have wadding but wasnt sure if you just buy scented oil or if you should use dried stuff as well as wadding? Also do you sew your ribbon into the heart as you are stitching it up or do you add it at the end? Thanks guys. x

    Hi Pootle,
I got some of this from ebay

I wanted something different and this smells wonderful in the little hearts I do :D

Forgot to add he does larger packs too but it is a pain to find this on his shop page

    Thanks Sue.
Do you add wadding as well or just this stuff (and do you put it in a bit of muslin or something first then into your sewed heart or just put it straight into your heart? Sorry for all the questions!! x

:) I have just put lavender in mine but also I have stuffed some wadding (I fluffed it up) then I made a space in the middle and put the lavender or the spice mix in it. This 2nd way is easier :D
    Hope that helps :)
