    Hi everyone!
I'd just like to say this thread inspired me to get back into sewing. I was really into sewing and including it in my artwork whilst I was in college. I started Uni and it just fell away from my mind!
Well after reading this thread after christmas I was determined to dig my sewing machine out of my attic and include some textile works into my degree work! I was fed up and feeling a bit weighed down by all the painting that is drummed into me in uni and as soon as i started sewng i was actually smiling! haha
I screen printed onto fabric, i tye-dyed etc and it was a fantastic process!
So thankyou everyone for your enthusiasm with sewing 'cos you helped me get my enthusiasm back! lol
I'm just pondering about my next project now! lol

Wow, where do you get these lovely tea-towels from?? Mine are all rather dull and would make quite awful bags! These ones are really pretty!

Hi, my t-towels were from Homebargains (£1.49 for 3) and Wilkinsons (£1.99 for 3) :D

Pooky your makes are amazing. I want to make some bunting for my little girls room but i don't know where to start! did you follow a tutorial? if so do you have a link?

I have uploaded some pics of a bow bag and scented hearts on my blog http://scratchycatcrafter.blogspot.com/2010/06/crafty-sunday.html

Thanks - I just made the bunting up as I went along.....cut out a cardboard template for the shape of the triangles - cut 2 for each "flag", sewed rightside together leaving the top open, turned and pressed and then attached to the white tape.

I only had scraps of fabric to use so based the size of the "flags" on the fabric available.

I'm sure there must be a tutorial around somewhere but I'm sure you could dive straight in and have a go.

Thanks! For the hsirslides I sewed them on and added a little dab of glue (hypo cement) to the stitching to secure it.

Danables I love your blog and am now following, I have pm'd you.

Tina - pretty clothes for your little one, she must be the best dressed kid in your area!

Hart - looking forward to seeing your pics.

I have been doing a little bit of sewing but not too much, I made a little cushion, I will show you some pics later, must dash and look busy (I am at work ~ on a quick break of course :o).

    Hi Ladies,

I was just blog hopping and came accross this free bag pattern. Its a similar style to the Buttercup Bag, but bigger and with 2 handles... I might have to try this one.

    Cheers

Thanks for the compliments. I get my tea towels from home bargains, Wilkinsons and the pound shop. As to the person who asked how I made them, I winged it!!
