Wow! You lot do so much gorgous stuff. Just spend a very pleasant four hours adding lots of things to my list of to dos.
I have just finished a present for a wedding of a close family member that I'm going to at the end of this month. There was a lot of hand holding through this, as in the pieces were already cut for me, i was supervised as I sewed it together, and someone else did the binding and quilting for me. but I am soooo pleased with it. Just worried that my next quilt- where I will be flying solo wont look as good! And I never, never, never want to sew a circle again!
Keep up the good work- its a highlight of my day to check out this thread!:T0 -

Cuddles - thanks for the info. i've not come accros that sort of patchwork / quilt before, really interesting. and so good to see it's lasted so well.

i've been going on with my hexagon quilt, slowly but surely, and have had an Xstitch challenge to complete (a patchwork heart!), but did find time amongst sorting and cutting fabric for swaps to make these two little mug rugs, or cuppa coasters. They are made entirely from small scraps,
deliberatly wonkey inside, but sadly a little too wonkey around the binding as i forgot to angle it the corners and just carried on with the wonkey!

thankyou!
The main help came from an aunt who used to be a seamstress,so massive help from her, and her friend bound it for it. Couldnt of done it without them. Bitten the bullet and ordered some new fabric so here we go!0 -
Ashys ~ that quilt is so beautiful, and it's huge, I am so impressed.
23rd Spiral ~ I have just received a new cup for work and was thinking of where to get a nice coaster to match it, but I am going to 'borrow' your idea and make one if that's ok? That is about the right size of quilt for me to manage!
Can I tentatively ask how your quilt is coming along?

Some stunning work on here - I've spent the last few days trawling through all your lovely stuff. (Can't believe I've not found this thread before)
I finished a throw together patchwork quilt for DD2 last year - front panel here....she loves it and it's the envy of all her friends.
Currently working on a hexagonal patchwork throw, all hand sewn, it's a labour of love and I go through stages of wanting to do it and then it gets packed away for ages.....I shall take some piccies of that tomorrow.
Keep up the good work - I'm getting lots of inspiration. :T"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
